“Only Girl (In The World)” is completely different from the songs on her previous album “Rated R”. The singer is really excited about this new album, telling her fans, “get LOUD everybody, get crazy, get excited, cuz I’m pumped. I’m just gonna be ME, cuz that’s what u guys love the most, and that’s what makes me feel best. Just being normal, normal for me is LOUD! Sassy, fun, flirty, energetic.”

The dark days are ova. However, Rihanna is not going back, she is moving forward and delivering a more mature fun and flirty sound with “Loud” that will not disappoint her loyal fans.

Rihanna said, “I made sure not to let you down with my music! You guys are always defending me, so now you’ve got some great songs to justify it. I didn’t want to go backward and remake [2007's] Good Girl Gone Bad. I wanted the next step in the evolution of Rihanna, and it’s perfect for us.”

British actress Carey Mulligan graces us with all her class in a Chanel on the cover of the upcoming October 2010 issue of Vogue Magazine (more pictures below). Carey, who is currently dating actor Shia LaBeouf, refuses to become scary skinny in order to land lead roles in Hollywood movies.

“The thinnest I’ve ever been was after I had my appendix out, during the London run of The Seagull. I went down to 112 pounds and realized my brain doesn’t work when I’m that thin, so I can’t do my job,” Carey explained.

“That’s why, when I came out here, I never had that whole Hollywood pressure thing. I never said I wanted to be a lead actress; I never said I wanted to be a film actress,” Carey continued. “This need to trump everyone bewilders me. I’m only 25. I’m not better than anyone. I just want to watch other people and learn to be good.”

Carey is not scary skinny, but she is pretty skinny. So her weight shouldn’t be a deciding factor, which means she can beat Keira Knightley pretty easily for any role she ever wants. However, there is one role Carey wants and can’t get because she is not famous enough.

“I want to be in ‘Glee’, but I’m told I’m not famous enough to be a cameo yet,” so she said. Carey is a 25 year-old Oscar-nominated actress and she can’t be on GLEE. Wow. Anyway, GLEE is not exactly famous for incredible acting performances.

Who’s pumped for tonight’s ALL NEW EPISODE of Teen Mom?

Last week, Maci broke the news to her friends that she’s moving to Nashville.

Now, it’s time for her to break it to her ex, Ryan, that she’s taking their son Bentley to be closer to her new boyfriend Kyle…two hours away.

I smell a custody battle!

Here’s a short recap of what the other girls were up to on last week’s episode:

Amber discovered last week that getting her GED is not as easy as she thought it’d be, kind of like being a teen mom. Whoops!

Catelynn had a blowout with her mom (like we showed you last week), but they made up at the end and it was really cute and sweet and everyone around the world said “aw” in unison. If you missed it I’m surprised you didn’t hear it!

Farrah experienced her first speed dating session and it was, unsurprisingly, a disaster.

What to expect this week:

Prom is coming up for Catelynn and Tyler, but Catelynn’s mom seems a bit jealous– maybe since her hubby Butch is away in rehab?

Amber and Gary are on the outs again, but really, what else is new; and Farrah takes her mom to a much needed therapy session.

Since Ryan wants more time with Bentley, and he’s planning to take Maci to court, I think her trials and tribulations will be the highlight of tonight’s all new episode.

Katy Perry will appear as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live when the new season opens September 25th!

Katy tweeted the big news today:

“OKAY! My BIG surprise is I’m opening the season of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE on Sept 25 W/SNL Alum Amy Poehler!!! click:http://bit.ly/katysnl“

Apparently, Amy Poehler will be making an appearance as well– less than two months after she delivered her new baby, Abel.

Katy also tweeted at Amy about her desired role on SNL:

“Dear Amy Poehler can I please be your braced faced neighbor friend that hangs out with you & RICKKKKK!”

Wouldn’t that be hilarious? I hope Katy will bring the funny.

Can’t wait to see what else the writers have in store this season.

With big names like this, I don’t think they’ll have trouble keeping viewers afterall.

I was a little weary, what with Will Forte leaving the show and the new cast members and all.

Sounds like the new album has brought lots of big things for Katy!

Actor Glenn Shadix, best known for his role as Otho the interior decorator in Tim Burton’s “Beetlejuice” (picture above), died after falling at his home in Birmingham, Alabama on Tuesday morning (September 7).

The 58 year-old had serious mobility problems and he had been using a wheelchair. According to Glenn’s sister Susan Gagne, he apparently fell out of his wheelchair and hit his head in the kitchen.

“He was having mobility problems, and he was in a wheelchair,” Susan Gagne said. “It looks like he fell and hit his head in the kitchen, and that’s the cause of death.”

An official statement which includes funeral details was posted on Glen Shadix’s official website:

It is with great sadness and pain that the family of William G. “Glenn Shadix” Scott announces his passing this morning.

A memorial service will be held at Lakeside Baptist Church, 2865 Old Rocky Ridge Road, Birmingham, on Saturday, September 11th at 2 p.m.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in Glenn’s name to the Theatre Department of the Alabama School of Fine Arts, 1800 8th Avenue, Birmingham, AL 35203.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith‘s 9-year-old daughter Willow is following in dad’s footsteps by testing the waters of a new music career.

In addition to his newfound career as an actor (he stars in the new Karate Kid movie), 11-year-old Jaden recently did some backup for Justin Bieber‘s “Never Say Never“.

Professional wrestler Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (oxycontin and methadone) and burglary, while he was pumping gas at around 3 pm in Hillsborough County, Florida on Sunday (September 5).

The 55 year-old completely flipped and started yelling as he was seen opening several pill bottles and “ingesting multiple pills that he dropped on the ground while inside the trunk of his vehicle”.

When the cops arrived, they found 55.6 grams of Oxycontin and 17.4 grams of methadone. The pill bottles were in the name of Mary Cutillo, a friend of the wrestler who had reported her home had been burglarized and that her medication had been stolen.

Jim The Anvil was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of trafficking in illegal drugs, one count of burglary and one count of grand theft. He is being held without bail at Orient Road Jail. The Anvil went nuts. I’d suggest a psychiatric evaluation.

The Rolling Stones are planning a farewell/50th anniversary tour!

The tour is rumored to make waves in 2012.

That is, if they make it that long.

“We’ve reached an age where you can’t look too far into the future,”

Drummer Charlie Watts told the French paper Le Parisien.

He turns 70 next year.

The band’s founders Mick Jagger and Keith Richards will hit 70 in 2013, and guitarist Ron Wood is a youngen’ at 63.

“We’re discussing it at the moment,”

Watts said.

“We said that if we do something, it will be next year or the year after.”

Coincidentally (or not), 2012 will be The Stones’ 50th anniversary as a band.

The Stones were allegedly in talks with Live Nation a few months ago to produce the gigantic stadium tour.

Charlie isn’t giving away too much else, though:

“We will resume playing whenever Mick and Keith get bored. At the moment, they’re having a good time,”

Whatever that means.

When this tour does roll around, and it will, it will be absolutely epic.

Rapper 50 Cent and his girlfriend, R&B singer Ciara, have possibly tied the knot in a secret ceremony. 50 himself announced he would be getting married soon (on Monday, September 6) and if he is not marrying himself, he can only be talking about his girlfriend.

Fiddy, who has become an avid Twitter user, revealed, “Good morning I was so high after the show last night. I got engaged. I love me so, sept 6 I’m getting married.” This was posted with a picture showing a huge gold ring on his finger. 50 was probably joking around.

However, the ring in question is similar to one that Ciara was spotted wearing, which sparked rumors the two might have tied the knot in total secrecy last month. Did 50 Cent and Ciara really get married? They haven’t made an official announcement yet. Only time will tell.

Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx spoke for the first time on his ex-girlfriend Kat Von D and actress Sandra Bullock’s ex-husband Jesse James’ new relationship. The 51 year-old rocker is sad and disappointed to hear his girlfriend of more than two years has moved on so quickly.

Nikki shouldn’t be surprised. Jesse also claimed Sandra was the love of his life yet he had no trouble stepping out with his new girl, the LA Ink star, so soon. Jesse and Kat deserve each other.

Kim Kardashian’s former NFL boyfriend, Reggie Bush, is going to make history by becoming the first player in 75 years of the Heisman Trophy to be stripped of the award he won as a USC (University of Southern California) running back in 2005.

According to Yahoo Sports, the Heisman Trophy Trust will agree with NCAA’s decision that Reggie was not eligible during the 2005 season because he accepted improper benefits – gifts, hotels stays, rent-free home, etc. – from two fledgling sports marketers hoping to sign him.

ESPN’s Chris Fowler claims the reported is “premature” and “completely false”, saying, “They haven’t made a decision. No announcement is imminent. They have not had any formal meetings about this.”

USC was already cited for “lack of institutional control” and the Trojans were put on a four-year probation, a two-year bowl ban and a reduction in football scholarships.

USC President Max Nikias ordered the school’s sports department to return its copy of Reggie’s 2005 Heisman to the Heisman Trophy Trust and remove all references to the now New Orleans player. The decision might not be official yet, but Reggie will most probably have to return the award, which will remain vacant.
