Though Michael Douglas is optimistic about his current battle with throat cancer, his wife, actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, is angry that doctors didn’t find it sooner.

Michael revealed that he had cancer earlier this month, but had apparently been searching for a cure to constant throat and ear pain for months.

Catherine commented on how she’s coping with the discovery of the walnut-sized tumor in Michael’s throat:

“I know maybe I should be stronger, but emotionally I just don’t want to see that. The hardest part is seeing his fatigue, because Michael is never tired.”

Michael told audiences of Tuesday’s The Late Show with David Letterman that doctors say he has an 80% chance of recovery even though his cancer has reached a late stage 4.

Catherine expressed her distaste with the doctors:

“It makes me furious they didn’t detect it earlier,”

“He sought every option and nothing was found.”

Michael, on the other hand, is taking things as they come.

He said:

“Without having to blame anybody … these things sometimes just don’t show up,”

Several other Housewives are “no longer satisfied with their deals” and may not show up to beginning filming the new season on September 3rd.

So Kelly doesn’t do part time, or Bravo doesn’t do part time? I’ve gotta admit, I was hoping for a snarky comment from good ol’ Bensimon. Now that Bethenny has some time to spare, maybe she can take a trip back to Scary Island.

The Dancing With The Stars season 11 celebrity amateur dancers and their professional ballroom dancers partners have been officially revealed on Good Morning America on Wednesday (September 1), a couple of days after co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke announced the celebrity cast on Monday.

“The Real Housewives Of New York” star Bethenny Frankel decided to quit the Bravo reality show after three seasons because she could not handle the pressure, madness and negativity. The 39 year-old refused the offer to return for a fourth season, which will begin filming on September 20.

“Last season was scary and painful,” she tells Us. “It took all of the joy out of it.” Bethenny, who welcomed baby girl Bryn in May, had nasty feuds with her archenemy Kelly Killoren Bensimon and her former BFF, Jill Zarin, who tried to turn other castmates against her.

The housewife is determined to not return to the show, because she sees no reason to go back. She said, “My gut’s saying not to be part of this cast.” Bethenny is expected to make a few appearances on the new season for contractual reason, but she won’t come back full.

Good luck, Bethanny! With Bethenny out, will you still want to watch the RHONY? As long as Kelly keeps actually like a complete lunatic, it’s worth it!
