Film Editor Sally Menke, best known for her work in Quentin Taratino’s movies, was found dead in Griffith Park’s hiking trail in Los Angeles, California on Tuesday (September 28).

The 57 year-old decided to go hiking with a friend, who was walking a dog, on Monday (September 27), the hottest day (113F) in LA in 133 years. They became separated and no one ever saw Sally alive again. At the end of the hike, the friend wasn’t able to locate Sally and called the police.

A late night search with bloodhounds and a helicopter was conducted and Sally’s body was found. Sally’s cause of death is still unknown. The extreme heat could have been one of the factors, but an autopsy will reveal if she had a pre-existing condition that led to her tragic death.

Sally worked for director Tarantino in movies like “Death Proof”, “Kill Bill”, “Jackie Brown” and “Reservoir Dogs”. Her work with the director was recognized with two Oscar nominations for editing in the movies “Inglorious Basterds” (2009) and “Pulp Fiction” (1995).

A source tells TMZ, “The place is also a restaurant … so under 21 is allowed under Alaska law if accompanied by a person over 21, which she was.” Bristol was with her partner Mark Ballas during the segment — and he’s 24.

So it was a restaurant bar, which means she was only allowed inside if accompanied by a parent, spouse or legal guardian over 21. As far as we know, Mark is not Bristol’s legal guardian and he is also not her hubby or daddy. Naughty Bristol!

Canadian actor/comedian/writer Seth Rogen and his longtime girlfriend, actress/writer Lauren Miller are reportedly engaged. Seth surprised his girl with a proposal after they returned from a family visit in Boston last week.

Lauren and Seth have been dating for more than six years since 2004. She had lost hope Seth would ever have the courage to take the next big step in their relationship. Seth is that type of guy: nerdy and a bachelor for life!

“He surprised her with the proposal,” a friend of Seth’s tells Life & Style. “She’d started giving up hope that he would ever pop the question.”

“Her family adores him; everyone is thrilled to plan a wedding,” the friend adds. As for Seth, there’s no doubt as to how he feels about Lauren: “I have a girlfriend who is far prettier than I should have,” he’s said.

Who was eliminated on Dancing With The Stars? One of our incredible eleven celebrity dancers and their professional dance partner will be eliminated after a tough night dedicated to the Jive and Quickstep on the live results show of Dancing With The Stars on Tuesday (September 28).

Last week, David Hasselhoff was voted off and sent home sooner than we expected. The Hoff was exactly what DWTS needed. He was the most ridiculous and entertaining dancer. Luvs him!

On Monday (September 27), all of the couples seemed to have improved a lot since their debut last week. Once again, Jennifer Grey was the best celebrity dancer and Audrina Patridge proved she can go very far in this competition. The same cannot be said about Mike Sorrentino aka The Situation and comedienne Margaret Cho. It’s really simple – they were not born to dance.

The most embarrassing moment of the night was offered by singer Michael Bolton, who dared to come out of a dog house looking for a bone, and his partner Chelsie Hightower. I simply cannot understand why Chelsie would do something like that. It was ridiculous, pathetic and completely disrespectful to someone like Michael.

Bolton’s performance also caused an argument between judges Bruno and Len Goodman. Bruno, who thinks he is so smart and funny, told Michael should have kept the bone and gone straight back to the dog house and stated that was the worst Jive in DWTS history. Len basically told him to shut up, saying he should keep some comments to himself. Go Len!!

Another highlight of the night: Sarah Palin, who was in the front row cheering for Bristol, the pistol, was booed by the audience. This has been denied by show reps who claim they were booing Jennifer Grey’s scores. We do not buy it! DWTS just wants Sarah to feel at home and come more often to boost the ratings.

So who will be in the bottom two? It’s hard to predict because the public at home is the boss. Margaret Cho and Michael Bolton should be in danger based on their performances, but I think Michael will be joined by Florence Henderson in the bottom 2. But Michael is the most likely competitor to say goodbye to DWTS tonight.

Michael Jackson’s ex-bodyguard, Matthew Fiddes, has publicly announced that he believes he is the biological father of the King Of Pop’s youngest son, Blanket Jackson.

The 29 year-old donated sperm to Michael back in 2001, according to court documents. This sperm could have been used to conceive Blanket, who was born in 2002.

In his statement, Matt claims MJ told him he was the real father, but he is not looking for money or custody of Blanket. Despite the uncanny resemblance, Matt is not even 100% sure the kid is his son and he is not asking for a paternity test.

Matt said, “As far as I’m concerned, Michael Jackson is the father.”

Maggie Grace, former Lost star, will be joining the cast of Twilight‘s highly anticipated Breaking Dawn. Grace, 27, has also been seen in films such as Taken, where she played Liam Neeson‘s distressed daughter.

She joins the Breaking Dawn cast as Irina, a member of the Denali clan. Deadline reports:

“Irina is a member of the Denali coven, considered cousins to the Cullen clan as the only other “vegetarian” vampire group. When Irina blames the Cullens for the death of her lover, her actions set in motion a terrifying chain of events.”

Also joining the cast is 9-year-old Mackenzie Foy, who will play Renesmee; Edward and Bella’s vampire/human love child.

“Raising Sextuplets” stars, Bryan Masche and his wife Jennifer Masche have officially separated after he was arrested for domestic violent related to a heated family argument during which he was accused of yelling profanities at his wife and threatening to “flatten” his father-in-law in Arizona on September 1, 2010.

Jenny decided to file a petition for legal separation from her husband, who she says “is not a criminal”, at Yavapi County Superior Court on September 17, 2010. A spokesperson for We TV said: “Out of respect for the Masche family and their privacy during this time we are not going to comment.”

The couple had been struggling and was actually seeing a relationship counselor prior to Bryan’s arrest. Jenny and Bryan tied the knot in January 2, 2004 after he proposed on National television at an Arizona Diamondback baseball game in 2003. Their sextuplets, three boys and three girls, were born June 11, 2007.

“Two and a Half Men” actor Charlie Sheen’s daughter Cassandra Jade Estevez and her high school sweetheart Casey Huffman tied the knot in a private ceremony at the luxurious Bacara Resort and Spa in Santa Barbara, California on Saturday (September 25).

Cassandra is the oldest of the actor’s five children. Cassandra’s mother is Paula Speert, who was Charlie’s high school sweetheart. The story repeats itself, but we wish Cassandra and Casey, who started dating back in 1999 and got engaged on December 2008, a happy ending.

Charlie’s daughter recently spoke to say she was supportive of her father’s decision to enter rehab. Cassandra said, “I really don’t want to comment too much, but it is a positive thing and he is just trying to do the right thing.”

The actor also has two daughters, Sam and Lola, with actress Denise Richards, and twins Bob and Max with his current estranged wife Brooke Mueller (pictured above with Cassandra).

After experiencing an unknown health issue on a flight into the city, President Jimmy Carter was rushed to Metro Health Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. According to CNN, Jackie Mayo, the public information officer for Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, Carter was transferred to the hospital at approximately 11:30 a.m. ET after paramedics met his plane upon its arrival.

The 39th president, who will turn 86 on Friday, was in Ohio to autograph copies of his new book White House Diary.

UPDATE: Jimmy Carter’s nonprofit organization released a statement saying:

“While on a flight to Cleveland, former U.S. President Jimmy Carter developed an upset stomach, and, upon arrival, was taken to Metro Health Hospital for observation. He is resting comfortably and is expected to resume his book tour this week.”

Get well, Jimmy! Take it easy. You’ve already been the president. There’s no need to be jet setting all over the place.

The trailer for the Coen Bros. adaptation of True Grit hit the web today. The movie stars Josh Brolin, Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon and newcomer Hailee Steinfeld as the central character, Mattie Ross.

The western, which was originally a novel written by Charles Portis, was first made into a movie in 1969. The film featured John Wayne as Rooster Cogburn and earned him his first Academy Award, as well as a Golden Globe. Jeff Bridges will be filling big shoes in the role of Cogburn, but judging by the trailer, he’s gonna be just fine.

While the award-winning Joel and Ethan Coen do have a lot of pressure on them to reproduce an already spectacular movie, they never fail to rise to their audiences expectations. Are there any True Grit fans out there? Do you think the new film will be as good as the old western?

The movie hits theatres Christmas 2010. And you can bet I’ll be the first one in line.

Tuesday, Jenny McCarthy will sit down with Oprah Winfrey to discuss what caused her split with actor Jim Carrey. In April, after five years together, the couple announced their split via Twitter . Here are some bits from the interview:

Oprah: “Tell me, when did you know it was over?”

McCarthy: “You know, the simple word I can give – and there’s a few, so let me say a few. The first thing is, when it’s not fun anymore, you need to start investigating and do an inquiry into the relationship.”

Meg Ryan, America’s long-lost sweetheart, attended the opening of the Metropolitan Opera season at Lincoln Center on Monday night. The season kicked off with a new production of Das Rheingold.
