“Desperate Housewives” actress Eva Longoria, who is married to NBA star Tony Parker, has been announced as the official host of the 2010 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) in Madrid, Spain on Sunday, November 7, 2010.

Eva said, “I’m beyond excited to be asked to host the 2010 EMAs and getting to do it in the beautiful city of Madrid is the icing on the cake.”

“I can’t wait to see some fabulous performances and love that the most nominated artists this year are two amazing women, making some of the most exciting music in pop right now!”

Eva is talking about the two most popular female singers at the moment, Lady GaGa and Katy Perry, who lead the EMAs nominations with five nods each. The show promises incredible performances by Kings of Leon, Ke$ha, Kid Rock, Linkin Park and California Gurl Katy Perry.
