Tyra Banks Sued By Teen Sex Addict’s Mom Beverly McClendon

Talk show host Tyra Banks is being sued for $3 million by Beverly McClendon, the angry mother of a teen sex addict, a 15 year-old girl who reportedly appeared on the “Tyra Banks Show” without her permission.

The girl, who has not been diagnosed as a sex addict, answered to an online casting call for teen sex addicts on Tyra’s website. The show’s producers flew her all the way from Georgia to New York and installed her in a hotel without her mother’s knowledge and consent.

According to Beverly, the 2009 show “was undoubtedly watched by sexual deviants, perverts and pedophiles” and violated her daughter’s right to privacy. The teen girl was also paid for her appearance on the show, but they didn’t get permission from the labor commissioner to “employ” her.

Tyra Banks Show Ends In Spring 2010

Tyra seems to be in big trouble. The angry mother wants $1 million in compensatory damages, $2 million in punitive damages and asks the court to ban the episode featuring her daughter to air again on TV or online.

I’m sure that the show has ways to release themselves from this sort of liability. The girl probably had to sign a waiver. Plus, the girl pursued them first. This isn’t going to stop the mom from trying however. By the way, how did the mom not know that her daughter had been missing in the first place? After all, they flew her back to New York and put her up in a hotel and the mom didn’t find this out until later. Perhaps the mom should focus more on parenting instead of blaming others for her daughter’s problems.

What A Load Of Crap. How’s That All Tyra’s Fault? Some People Are Just Totally Retarded, Need To Get A Life And Leave Tyra Alone. She’s A Nice Person And Didn’t Do Anything Wrong Here, It’s The Woman’s Daughter That Did, Not Her. So I’d Be So Dissapointed To Hear That Tyra Had To Give Her The 3 Million Dollars. Freak.
