Actor Jean-Claude Van Damme reportedly suffered a minor heart attack on the set of his latest action movie “Weapon” a day after her celebrated his 50th birthday on Monday (October 18).

Jean-Claude was briefly hospitalized in a New Orleans hospital before being given the permission to return to his country. The actor is reportedly currently resting and being taken care of by his wife Gladys Portugues at his home in Belgium.

The “Weapon” production has been stalled as Jean-Claude recovers. The movie is set to hit theaters in 2011, but there is no word on when filming will resume.
