Actress Jill Clayburgh Died of Leukemia At 66
Actress Jill Clayburgh, who recently played a devoted matriarch on “Dirty Sexy Money”, died after a 21-year battle with chronic lymphocytic leukemia at her home in Lakeville, Connecticut on Friday (November 5). Jill was 66 years old.
Jill, who was known for her empowering feminist roles, won an Academy Award for her portrayal of Erica, a New Yorker who struggles after her husband leaves her for another woman, in 1978’s “An Unmarried Woman”. The 66 year-old also appeared in several TV shows like “Law & Order”, “The Practice”, “Nip/Tuck” and “Ally McBeal”.
The actress is survived by her husband David Rabe and two children, Michael Rabe and actress Lily Rabe.
