Former teen idol David Cassidy was arrested for DUI after he was pulled over by a Florida Highway Patrol trooper who spotted him in a white Mercedes driving erratically at around 6 pm on Wednesday (November 3).

David, who crossed the center divider line, cut off another driver when he tried to merge onto an exit ramp, was completely wasted – he was unsteady on his feet and failed several sobriety tests.

The 60 year-old admitted that he had a glass of wine at lunch and a hydrocodone tablet in the afternoon, which does not explain why he blew a 0.14 on a breath test. David was charged with driving under the influence, failure to maintain a single lane and having an open container (bottle of bourbon).

David was released on $350 bail.
