Singer/actress Jessica Simpson and her boyfriend, former NFL player Eric Johnson, have become engaged on Thursday (November 11), a few days after her husband Nick Lachey and his girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo officially announced their engagement.

And now Jessica, who will release a Christmas album this month, is basically being pretty childish as she appeared with a big rock on her left hand at Dillard’s at Oak Park Mail in Kansas City on Saturday (November 13). Poor Jess!

Jessica’s rep has confirmed the news, saying, “They are thrilled!” This will be both Jessica and Eric’s second marriage. Eric only finalized the divorce from his first wife, stylist Keri Johnson, after he started dating the singer.
