Jennifer Jason Leigh and Noah Baumbach, the writers of the 2010 Ben Stiller film Greenberg, are calling it quits.

Jennifer filed for divorce last week in Los Angeles after 5 years of marriage and just 7 months after the birth of their son. She cited irreconcilable differences and is seeking primary custody of their son Rohmer, as well as spousal support and visitation rights for her soon to be ex-husband.

At the 2005 premiere of his film The Squid and the Whale, director Noah told PEOPLE:

“I expect to be with [Leigh] for the rest of my life,”

Well, at least they went in with high hopes. They gave it a shot and had a pretty good run, but marriages just don’t last in Hollywood.
