New couple Taylor Swift, 20, and Jake Gyllenhaal, 29, are already jet setting all over the country together. Two days after being seen together in Brooklyn, NY sipping maple lattes, they were spotted in Swift’s hometown of Nashville, TN.

On Saturday afternoon, the couple was seen at Fido’s, a cafe near Vanderbilt University and Music Row, grabbing a late breakfast. An onlooker said:

“They were smiling and laughing. They were talking a lot and enjoying each other’s company. They didn’t look like [just] friends.”

Emma Rice, the customer who snapped a photo of them, said they were “very cute” and added, “They seemed close.”

The couple were first spotted together in late October, but have avoided commenting on their relationship.

Another source added:

“They were not trying to be discreet by any means. They were definitely a couple. They looked very happy.”

Even though she’s ‘just’ a writer, J.K. Rowling — the mastermind behind the Harry Potter book series — could be looking at an Oscar.

On the series’ most recent film, Harry Potter and the Deatly Hallows Pt. 1, Rowling was also credited as a producer, meaning she’ll collect the Oscar should the film take Best Picture in February.

Deathly Hallows earned more than $200 million in its opening weekend — making it the highest earning film of the seven that have been released so far. 45-year-old Rowling has sold more than 400 million HP books worldwide.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 is the final film of the series. It will hit theaters in July 2011….and I can hardly wait!

Amazing Race partners Chad Waltrip and Stephanie Smith — now Stephanie Waltrip — are expecting their first child together.

Viewers got a real treat when Chad proposed to Stephanie on the show, but fans of the show may not know that Chad and Stephanie have already tied the knot.

Stephanie says:

“We were going to get married in March, but we didn’t see the point in waiting because I’m three months pregnant and due in June. In fact we’re driving back from Ponte Vedra Beach [in Florida], where we had a small wedding at a friend’s house.”

As Stephanie noted, the couple are expecting baby #1 in June 2011.

“I’m still getting used to saying it out loud. This has been a whirlwind, but it’s very us and we’re very happy.”

Though their lives are moving swiftly now, 23-year-old Stephanie says she didn’t know 26-year-old Chad was planning to propose:

“He was acting funny before we left. We had talked about marriage. We knew immediately after meeting that we wanted to be together forever. But I didn’t think he’d have the guts to propose on The Race.

“He claimed it wasn’t his style to do it on TV, but I think he was feeling pressured. I love our story. I don’t know anyone who can say, “We got engaged on a reality TV show in the Middle East.”

Chad adds:

“I realized we’re still soul mates and the perfect opportunity presented itself in Oman. With the sun coming up over the ocean, you couldn’t ask for a better spot to ask the love of your life to marry you.”

Like most 6-year-olds, Courteney Cox and David Arquette‘s daughter Coco is asking for a puppy for Christmas.

Courteney told PEOPLE:

“She wants a puppy!”

“Which is unfortunate because we have two dogs.”

So will the little spawn of Scream stars get what’s on her wishlist?

Courteney says probably so:

“All I said was, ‘No Chihuahuas!’ [And Coco replied,] ‘No, they’re just crazy!’”

I guess it’s not so hard to manage three dogs when you can hire people to take care of them, right?

No updates on how Courteney and David are going forth with their separation, but it’s nice to hear that things are normal for Coco — unless the puppy is a buy-off? Just kidding.

New Orleans Saints defensive lineman Will Smith was arrested on domestic abuse charges at around 2 am in Lafayette, Los Angeles on Friday (November 27), a couple of days after he played in the Thanksgiving Day game.

According to the police report, an officer witness Mike and his wife arguing, but it quickly became physical as “the male suspect allegedly grabbing the female by the hair and began pulling her down the street.”

Will Smith was immediately taken into custody and later released on $1,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday (November 29).

President Barack Obama had to get 12 stitches after busting a lip when hammered by an elbow during a pickup basketball game with close friends and family members at Fort McNair in southwest Washington on Friday morning (November 26)- watch video below.

“After being inadvertently hit with an opposing player’s elbow in the lip while playing basketball with friends and family, the President received 12 stitches today administered by the White House medical unit,” press secretary Robert Gibbs said in a statement. “They were done in the doctor’s office located on the ground floor of the White House.”

Mr. Prez is okay, but the White House first refused to identify the innocent attacker, who was playing defense when the hit Obama in the mouth. The unlucky guy is Rey Decerega, director of programs for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Instititute.

“I learned today the President is both a tough competitor and a good sport,” Decerega said in a statement. “I enjoyed playing basketball with him this morning. I’m sure he’ll be back out on the court again soon.”

Liev Schreiber and Helen Hunt will appear in a new indie film called Every Day, alongside Carla Gugino, Eddie Izzard and Brian Dennehy.

The film centers around the life of Liev’s character, Ned, as he struggles with a boring job, copes with his son being gay, and deals with his marriage falling apart.

Tiger Woods had a much calmer Thanksgiving this year compared to last year — not that that’s a hard feat.

Tiger took a break from prowling to be thankful for his children. The golf star and notorious woman-chaser spent this Thanksgiving in the company of his two kiddos — Sam (3) and Charlie (1.5) — and his mother, Kultida.

Tiger tweeted Friday:

“Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving. I just finished a pretty tough cardio session this morning because of all the apple and pumpkin pie.”

Because Tiger’s ex-wife Elin Nordegren is Swedish, she does not celebrate Thanksgiving and allowed her kids to spend time with their dad.

A close friend of Elin says that one year later, she’s doing much better and is handling raising the kids on her own:

“She’s healing. She stays busy with the children and her college classes and is already planning for the holidays,”

“She wants to take a little more time before making more long-term plans but she does intend to find a charitable cause to dedicate her time and effort to.”

Ah, tis the season! Despite the Tiger hate, it’s good that he’s still making time for his kids, despite the marital issues. And good for Elin for letting him spend some quality time with the little ones to keep things as normal as possible for Sam and Charlie.

As stylish as she is now, Emily Blunt says she was more of a tomboy growing up.

The Devil Wears Prada star said she grew up a bit different from other girls:

“I never dreamed of being a princess when I was a child – I wanted to be on the soccer team. I wasn’t into Barbie dolls and swore I’d never, ever wear pink. I’d throw tantrums if my mum put me in pink clothes. Not a girlie girl at all.”

Emily told Company Magazine that she thinks her draw to more masculine pastimes has helped her acting career:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Mike Williams was arrested for suspicion of DUI after being pulled over at around 2:48 am in Hillsborough County, Florida on Thursday (November 18).

The 23 year-old was speeding and failed a sobriety test, but when he was booked he took two breathalyzer tests, which read .061 and .065 (under the legal limit of .08). The cops continued to suspect his behavior and asked him to submit to a urine test.

Mike was always “very cooperative with the arresting officer and agreed to everything that was requested.” The NFL star was released a few hours later. The test results may take weeks.

The rookie receiver has already been fined by the Buccaneers. The team decided to conduct its own independent urine analysis and the results show there was no illegal substances found.

Country legend Willie Nelson was arrested for possession of six ounces of marijuana at around 9 am at a Border Patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas on Friday morning (November 26).

The 77 year-old was traveling from California to Austin on his tour bus when he was detained. Willie, who’s known for being one the greatest pot smokers in the world, was booked into the Hudspeth County Jail and released on a $2,500 bond.

Willie is too old to be caught with weed and get arrested. Grandpa still looks incredible for his age.
