Breakfast At Tiffany’s Director Blake Edwards Dies At 88

Perhaps one of the most notable directors of his time, Blake Edwards will not walk away from the world without having made an impact.

The 88-year-old director — whose works include Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Pink Pantherdied this morning with wife Julie Andrews and their children at his side.

Edwards was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma but his roots were in Hollywood — both his grandfather and father were in the movie business.

His wife, movie star Julie Andrews, said in 2007:

“Do you know how long we’ve been married?”

“Thirty-seven years. That’s staggering to me. Where did it all go? I cannot stress enough what a fine director he is – and not just because I’m married to him!”

He will surely be missed!
