Looks like Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino‘s plan to be the face of the Plaza Hotel’s luxury gym has fallen through. Reports have surfaced that the Jersey Shore reality star has been “barred” from the deal because the hotel’s execs don’t think “The Situation” is the right match for its patrons.

Good thinkin’, execs. And also, since when is anyone from the Jersey shore qualified to represent the Plaza?

A rep for the hotel said:

“The Plaza is not working with The Situation on any projects, including the gym space.”

According to Mike’s rep, he’ll be opening a high-end gym elsewhere. He’ll also be offering personal ab workouts:

“Mike had only one meeting with the owners of the gym property a couple of months ago to see if this is something he would be interested in. Mike decided that this was not the right location for a potential gym that he would be involved in. He has currently been entertaining offers from several other properties.”

Personal ab workouts? Is that code for sexy time?
