Dustin Hoffman Slept With His Wife On The First Date
At a recent press junket, Little Fockers star Dustin Hoffman shared his thoughts on the difficulties of family life and how he believes marriages should be arranged.
“There is nothing more unnatural than family or marriage. That’s why they’re both so difficult. You just wake up and suddenly clunk, you’re ready. ‘Okay, I guess that’s it.’”
The actor, who has been married twice, shared his resolution for tough family life:
“Arranged marriages I think make a lot of sense because you’re not under the pressure of being in love. It’s an easy contract. You don’t have to like each other and then whatever happens, happens.”
When his co-star Owen Wilson hear this, he chimed in on the subject, saying:
“It does seem to take some of the romance out of courting though.”
Hoffman responded:
“There’s nothing wrong with courting or romance, it just shouldn’t have to go into a contractual phase, which is marriage.”
He’s a strange bird, that’s for sure. He went on to tell the press about his first date with his current wife:
“Yes we did [sleep together on the first date]. This was going to be her first movie star, her first older man, her first ex – someone who had broken up with their wife – and the first date and she did all four. And then she said I ruined it by calling the next day. That probably went against every romantic advice because she told me later that her grandmother always said, ‘If you give away the milk, you have to buy the cow,’ or something. What is that?… They won’t buy the cow!”
Good grief, Dustin! Keep your mouth shut from now on.

It’s funny, he seems to match up to his character in Little Fockers some.
i dont want him to keep his mouth shut. you’d rather keep yours, man. hoffman and wilson’re such sharp guys and funny as hell. just love them together! especially since most of these press conferences and interviews are so agonisingly dull and they lighten it up every time!
