Princes William and Harry‘s cousin, Peter Phillips, and his wife Autumn have welcomed a baby girl. The birth of the new royal baby makes the first great-grandchild for Queen Elizabeth.

The name of the little girl — born Tuesday — has not yet been released, but she is 12th in line for the throne. The Queen’s press secretary released a statement following her birth:

“Mrs. Peter Phillips was yesterday safely delivered of a baby girl at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital,”

“The weight of the baby was 8 lbs., 8 oz. Mr. Peter Phillips was present at the birth.”

The statement went on to say that the families are delighted, and that:

“the baby’s name will be confirmed in due course.”

Prince William will marry Kate Middleton on April 29, 2011. I can’t wait for them to start popping out some pretty babies!
