Hollywood’s hottest couple split!! Actress Scarlett Johansson and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, who was recently named this year’s sexiest man alive, have amicably decided to separate and are currently living apart. The couple doesn’t plan to officially file for divorce immediately.

Springfield Mayer Tim Davlin was found dead of a gunshot wound inside his home at 2601 Apple Creek Drive at around 9:10 am on Tuesday morning (December 14).

The authorities responded to a 911 call reporting shots fired at the Mayor’s address, but when they got there he was already unresponsive on the floor.

Mayor Davlin had a scheduled appearance in court related to a pending estate case involving his late cousin this morning. The police is currently investigating the case.

UPDATE: According to FoxNews, Mayor Gavlin died of an apparent a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin released a statement, saying, “I was stunned and saddened by the news of Mayor Tim Davlin’s passing. His work with my office always reflected his dedication to our hometown. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this tragic moment.”

Dexter stars, Jennifer Carpenter and Michael C. Hall, who play sister and brother on Showtime’s hit show, have filed for divorce after being married for almost two years, their reps confirmed.

The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards nominations were revealed on Tuesday (December 14). Check out the full list of nominees below. The award ceremony during which Robert De Niro will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award is set to air January 16, 2011.

“The King’s Speech” leads the list of nominees with seven nods, followed by movies like “The Social Network” and “The Fighter” with six and “Inception” and “Black Swan” with four nominations each. Fox’s hit show “Glee” leads on the TV category with five nominations.

Former tennis star Martina Hingis, a former #1 with five Grand Slam singles titles, and her boyfriend, French show jumper Thibault Hutin, got married in a private civil ceremony at the Neuilly-sur-Seine city hall in Paris, France on Friday (December 10).

“Our wedding may take some by surprise,” Swiss newspaper Sonntags quotes the bride as saying of the couple’s ceremony, “but it has all been planned for some time.”

Thibault and Martina had a very small wedding reception for close family in the Presidential Suite of Hotel George V. The couple is reportedly planning to have a traditional Swiss wedding next Spring.

The lovebirds, who will be enjoying a romantic honeymoon in the Maldives, met at a show-jumping competition in St. Tropez right after she called off her engagement to longtime boyfriend, Swiss attorney Andreas Bieri, in April of 2010.

Former stock broker Bernie Madoff’s son Mark Madoff was found dead from an apparent suicide by his father-in-law in his SoHo apartment in Manhattan, New York City on Saturday morning (December 11).

Mark was reportedly found hanging from a dog leash in the living room, while his 2 year-old son was sleeping in a room nearby. Mark’s dad, Bernie Madoff, was arrested exactly two years ago today.

An attorney for Mark Madoff released a statement saying, “This is a terrible and unnecessary tragedy. Mark was an innocent victim of his father’s monstrous crime who succumbed to two years of unrelenting pressure from false accusations and innuendo.”

The 46 year-old Mark and his brother Andrew Madoff were both investigated for any involvement in their father’s Ponzi scheme, but they never faced criminal charges. Mark probably could not handle the pressure of having the family name associated with the biggest investment fraud in the history of the world.
