Actor David Arquette, who recently announced he was single after separating from his wife of 11 years, actress Courteney Cox, decided to seek treatment for his drinking problem and checked himself into rehab. The 39 year-old actor also hopes this will help him win his wife back.

“He is in there for drinking and depression, not hard drugs. Rehab was inevitable,” says a source to People. “He is dealing with a broken heart. He can’t handle all the changes in his life. All his inner demons came out.”

During that controver interview with Howard Stern, David confessed that he had been drinking a lot because he was heartbroken and close to having a nervous breakdown. David wants his family back and he is decided to do whatever it takes to be a better husband and father to his 6 year-old daughter Coco.

“He’s trying to win Courteney [Cox] back, and he turned back to drinking again out of frustration,” the source tells US. “He is doing this to show her he means it and will do anything for her and Coco. He wants his family life back. It’s been so hard on him.”

David’s estranged wife believes he is doing the right thing for himself and offers her support. Courteney’s rep told TMZ, “I really admire David and his choice to take charge and better his life. I love and support him.” Good luck, David!
