The 30 year-old girlfriend of Derek Jeter has got plenty of talent and brains, so she does not need anyone’s help to take care of her problems. In fact, Minka wants to make it clear she did not frantically call Derek after having an argument with a flight attendant over her dog a few months ago.

Minka says, “Do people think that somewhere in my brain, I think Derek can save me from someone telling me my dog can’t fly? If that’s the way I worked, he would have left me a long time ago.”

Blasphemy! Minka is an independent woman. Unfortunately, she did not reveal if and when she and Derek will tie the knot, but she promised it won’t happen in the next month. “I promise you, I’m not getting married in the next month,” she says.
