Emily Maynard, a single mother of 5 year-old girl, lost her fiancé in a plane crash and basically made everyone in the room cry with her heartbreaking story. Meanwhile, Madison felt like she hadn’t been able or given the opportunity to truly be herself with Brad.

“Hearing Emily’s story, it became very real,” Garton told Womack at the cocktail party just prior to the rose ceremony on Monday’s show. “It seems like a lot of girls here already have their heart on the line for you and anything I do now would be taking away from them. It could have been very different if I showed my cards and been the real me from the beginning. There’s every chance that I’ll wake up tomorrow and wonder what the heck I just did.”

Brad was both curious and totally freaked out by Madison’s fake fangs in the premiere episode of the show, so maybe he didn’t really take her seriously. The vampire girl volunteered to walk out without a rose and Brad accepted her decision to give up on him.

“Take it from me, if you continue to let guards prevent you from falling for someone or just being yourself, you’re not going to get anywhere,” Brad said. “[Madison] can’t let go of my relationship with Emily, as opposed to just focusing on our relationship. [With her leaving,] I think I’m missing out on a hell of a girl.”

Was Madison extremely jealous of how easily Brad can connect with different girls? Or did she simply realize he was not the one for her? The 25 year-old is one gorgeous girl and will have no trouble finding men who want to get to know her better.
