R&B star Monica and her boyfriend, LA Lakers star Shannon Brown, have secretly tied the knot in a very private and intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles late last year (on November 22, 2010).

The 30 year-old singer confessed that she is happier than ever to have found the love of her life – Shannon! – and she wants to be able to make a huge celebration when the two renew their vows.

“This is a very special time in my life,” Monica told HipHollywood. “I am blessed to have married the man that God sent me. He’s loving, compassionate, strong and supportive of my children, family and career. I look forward to our lives together.”

Shannon and Monica met when he played her love interest in the music video for “Love All Over Me” during the summer of 2010 (watch video here). The two felt head over heels for each other and got engaged in October of 2010 to marry just a month later. What’s the rush?

Monica is the mother of two young boys, 5 year-old Rodeny and 2 year-old Romelo, whose father is her former fiancé Rodney “Rocko” Hill.
