At his recent fundraising gala for gay rights, Elton John spoke with reporters about his latest duet with Glee star Matthew Morrison.

Elton John and Husband Become Fathers To Baby Boy From California

The duet, which will be featured on Morrison’s upcoming solo album, had been in the works for quite some time. In October, Elton told Entertainment Weekly:

“I’m supposed to be doing something with Matthew Morrison for his album. [Matthew and I] had a little meeting together, so hopefully that’s going to happen when I get to L.A.”

At the gala, which Morrison also attended, Elton said:

“I just did it! It’s a duet. It’s great, really fantastic. He sings great on it. It’s a medley of ‘Mona Lisas and Madhatters’ going into ‘Rocket Man.’ I did it on Monday.”
