You may have noticed the absence of A-lister Renee Zellweger at Sunday’s Golden Globes — the actress pulled out at the last minute to be by the side of her boyfriend, fellow A-lister Bradley Cooper, whose father died Saturday.

Charles Cooper passed on January 15 after a long illness. He was 71.

Charles is survived by his son, Bradley, wife Gloria, daughter Holly and sister Nancy Peacock.

Sad news, we’re thinking about the whole Cooper family. R.I.P.

Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish happily introduce their beautiful baby boy, Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, who was born on December 25, 2010, on the cover of UK’s OK! Magazine and US Magazine.

Talk show host Regis Philbin just announced he is ready to retire from his morning talk show, “Live with Regis and Kelly” on Tuesday morning (January 18), after more than 28 years entertaining people at home every morning of the week.

During his announcement, Regis joked, “There is a time that everything must come to an end for certain people on camera, especially certain old people.”

The 79 year-old will continue to host the morning talk show with his co-host Kelly Ripa for a few more months. Regis hasn’t set the date of his retirement yet, but he is planning to finally step down towards the end of the summer.

Regis has the right to enjoy the glorious years of retirement. We will miss you, Regis!

Surprise — it’s a girl for Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman! The couple welcomed Faith Margaret Kidman Urban on December 28th. Urban and Kidman released a statement Monday, Jan. 17, announcing the birth of their nearly one-month-old daughter.

“Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret,”

…the statement said. Faith Margaret was delivered at Nashville’s Centennial Women’s Hospital via a surrogate, though she is biologically an Urban-Kidman mix.

The statement continued:

“No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier.”

The country music star and A-list actress were very tight-lipped about the birth of their bundle of joy, who joins 2-year-old sister Sunday Rose, but we’re all glad she’s here!
