Just months after buying a new home in France, Keira Knightley‘s relationship with Rupert Friend has ended.

The couple met on the set of Pride & Prejudice in 2005.

A source tells PEOPLE that the split happened a few months ago, and distance and career “were both considerations.” The source added:

“It was time for her to move on.”

Will Knightley, Keira’s father, told the Sun:

“They were together for quite a long time, and it is always hard breaking up. She’s focused on her work.”

Well, good for her! She’s only 25 afterall, and ‘there are plenty of fish in the sea!’

Kourtney Kardashian‘s little guy, Mason Dash Disick, won’t be a star anytime soon — he’s been scratched from the cast list of the Kardashian’s new show.

But why? Afterall, Mason appeared on Keeping Up with the Kardashians — so why can’t he be seen on Kourtney & Kim Take New York? Kourtney tells PEOPLE:

“You’re not going to see Mason,”

“Scott and I decided not to have him on the show this season.”

We’d heard before that it is actually Scott Disick who doesn’t want his toddler son to appear on the show, but maybe he’s convinced Kourtney too?

Kourtney adds that she gets:

“weirded out to have [Mason] on camera,”

because:

“he can’t make the decision if he wants to be involved in this craziness or not.”

Is that a good argument or not? Whether or not they put him on TV is irrelevant as long as the family stays in the spotlight.

She adds:

“I think we made a good decision to leave him off the show because it was really crazy and really hectic any time we left the hotel,”

“There was massive paparazzi, so we tried to keep him as protected as possible.”

But, as Kardashian says is never as Kardashian does. Kourt added:

“I think we’ll take it season by season with Mason. “We’ll see how it goes and how we’re feeling at the time.”

I have a feeling we’ll be seeing more of Mason soon.

Backstreet Boys star A.J. McLean has checked himself into rehab again since his substance abuse issues seems to be seriously interfering with the band’s plans to tour with the New Kids On The Block.

A.J. released a statement saying, “For personal reasons, I’ve checked myself into a rehab clinic. With 2011 being a busy year for Backstreet, I want to be healthy and perform & sing for people at my very best and happiest. None of this will affect our current tour plans and I look forward to seeing everyone really soon! Thank you for all of your support and respecting my family and friends privacy during this time.”

The 33 year-old, who was allegedly totally wasted on a Backstreet Boys cruise last month, has battled alcohol and cocaine abuse for years. A.J. checked into rehab in 2001 and 2002, but the struggle is far from over.

On January 9, AJ tweeted, “I love u all and wish me luck! I start my sober journey tomm!” And the next day, he sent out a very cryptic message, saying, “See u on the other side!” We hope A.J. finally finds peace and a solution for his problem. The BSB/NKOTB Tour will not be affected by the singer’s rehabilitation plans.

Actress/model Devon Aoki, best known for roles in movies like “2 Fast 2 Furious” and “Sin City”, and her fiancé James Bailey are expecting their first baby together. James went down on one knee to propose to the Benihana heiress last summer, but the couple hasn’t set a date yet.

A rep for Devon confirmed, “Devon and James are extremely happy. They became engaged over the summer, and she has just found out she is pregnant.”

The 28 year-old mama-to-be, who became the face of Versace at the tender age of 16, has just finished filming a couple of projects and she is expected to take a long break to plan a wedding and to prepare for motherhood. Congratulations to Devon and James!

Actress Rooney Mara went through a dramatic makeover, which included dying her hair jet black and chopping it off plus getting pierced and tattooed, to become Lisbeth Salander, the lead role on David Fincher’s upcoming movie titled “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”, an adaptation of the bestselling novel by Stieg Larsson.

The first images of Rooney as the Lisbeth are included in the upcoming issue of W Magazine (February 2011)- photos below. Lisbeth is a genius computer hacker tormented by difficult childhood who joins journalist Mikael Blomkvist, played by Daniel Craig, in his quest to investigate several murders.

The 25 year-old actress apparently wanted so much to play the role that she pierced her nipples and lip to convince the director she was the right woman for the job. Mara told W Magazine, “I locked myself in a room for a week and read all three books, and decided I really wanted to be Lisbeth, but I thought I had no shot at it….They shot me in the subway in L.A. in full hair and makeup with a motorcycle. Every day they had a new request. On a Monday morning, David called me in, and I said, ‘What do you want me to do to my hair now? I was at the end of my rope. He told me I had the part. I hadn’t even read the script yet.”

Ted Williams aka “Golden Voice” went from homeless man to a YouTube sensation overnight, but it seems like he isn’t as clean as he said to be in a recent interview with Matt Lauer for the Today Show (watch video here).

After being arrested for a very loud verbal altercation with his daughter at a hotel in Hollywood, Ted decided to enter a rehab program for his drugs and alcohol addiction during a taping of “Dr. Phil Show” on Wednesday (January 12).

According to a press release for the show, Ted “has been drinking daily, despite his adamant claims of sobriety.” Here we go! Ted continues to cash in on his new found fame until the job offers start to disappear.

Actor Peter Fonda discovered a dead body inside a car while he was happily driving on Sunset Boulevard in the Pacific Palisades area (Los Angeles) on Wednesday (January 12).

The 70 year-old “Easy Rider” star immediately called 911 when he saw a man slumped over the front seat of the parked car. According to the police, the unidentified man seems to have taken his own life and the body had been there for three days.

The authorities are currently investigating the case since the man hasn’t been identified yet and the “method of suicide” is still a mystery.

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre’s little sister, Brandi Favre, was charged with two felonies of manufacturing methamphetamine and production of hazardous waste after being arrested inside a crystal meth lab at a condo in Mississippi on Wednesday (January 12).

Brandi was caught inside the condo with another two suspects, while meth was found “cooking in the bathtub”. Undercover agents promptly raided the place right after buying meth from two other suspects at a gas station. The five suspects were taken for decontamination and then booked and charged.

Brett’s sister, who has a criminal record that includes shoplifting and unlawful use of a weapon, will be presented to a judge today (January 13).

According to the source, the Mowry-Hardrict baby is due in July. The couple married in California in 2008.

Minnesota Vikings star Brett Favre’s younger sister, Brandi Favre, was arrested during a meth lab bust inside a condo in Missippi on Wednesday (January 12). Brandi was only one of the five suspects on the scene, who were taken to a decontamination center before being thrown into jail.

The 34 year-old sister of the legendary quarterback had previous disputes with the law. Brandi was arrested in the past for shoplifting and the unlawful use of a weapon. She was still a student at Southern Mississipi when she was involved in a drive by shooting at a motel in Slidell, Louisiana.

Actor David Nelson, best known for starring in the popular sitcom “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet” (1952 – 1966), died of complications from a colon cancer at his home in Century City, Los Angeles on Tuesday (January 11).

The 74 year-old was the last surviving member of the cast, which included his brother Ricky Nelson and parents, Ozzie and Harriet. Ricky was a well known singer, who sang hits like “Garden Party” and “Hello Mary Lou”, before he died in a plane crash at the age of 45 back in 1985.

David is survived by his wife, Yvonne Nelson, five children (4 sons and 1 daughter) and seven grandchildren. A memorial service is set to be held at Pierce Brothers Westwood Mortuary on Thursday (January 13).
