1950s and 60s star Anne Francis died Sunday in her retirement home in Santa Barbara, California. She was 80-years-old.

The actress was best known for her role as a detective on TV’s Honey West, as well as her participation in the 1950s Sci-Fi flick, Forbidden Planet. Her love interest in Forbidden Planet was played by the late Leslie Nielsen.

Anne Francis passed due to complications of pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her two daughters and grandson.

British actor Pete Postlethwaite, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in “In The Name Of the Father” back in 1993, has passed away after a long battle against cancer while surrounded by family at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in Shrosphire, England on Sunday (January 12).

The 64 year-old was called by director Steven Spielberg “the best actor in the world”. Pete appeared in several successful movies like “Alien 3”, “The Usual Suspects”, “Amistad”, “The Constant Gardner”, “Clash Of the Titans”, “Inception” and “The Town”.

Pete is survived by his wife Jacqueline Postlethwaite and his children, a son William and a daughter Mary. R.I.P. Pete Postlethwaite.
