Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber told Jay Leno that he couldn’t consider dating True Grit actress Hailee Steinfeld because there’s too much of an age gap between the two of them.

Bieber and Steinfeld met earlier this month when they presented a Golden Globe together on the live telecast.

On a recent visit to The Tonight Show, host Jay Leno questioned Bieber on his affection for the actress. Bieber insisted she was too young for him, saying:

“She’s really nice and really talented. I think she’s cute.”

“She’s 14, I’ll be 17 in less than a month.”

Aw, man. What a buzz kill. I think the real reason he doesn’t want to date her is because she’s about a foot taller than he is.

Hotty McHoterson newcomer Henry Cavill has been cast as Superman in the upcoming remake film.

Henry stars on the British Tudors and shines in the eyes of many young girls, but he’s mostly unknown in the American film world. Hopefully his debut as the ‘fast as a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive’ man will bring him to light!

The new Superman film is set for release in 2012 and is directed by Watchmen director Zack Snyder.

Snyder commented that he’s excited to be apart of the film’s return, as well as having Henry as Clark Kent:

“In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time, and I am honored to be a part of his return to the big screen,”

“I also join Warner Bros. and the producers in saying how excited we are about the casting of Henry. He is the perfect choice to don the cape and S shield.”

New Kids On The Block member Jonathan Knight has come out of the closet…not that we were doubting that he was ever in it to begin with.

Earlier this month, 80′s pop sensation Tiffany “outed” Knight on an episode of Bravo‘s Watch What Happen’s Live. When Tiffany was asked if she had ever had a relationship with a New Kid On The Block while she toured with the group, she said:

“The quiet one, the shy one. [He] became gay later. I didn’t do it. I had issues with that. I was thinking maybe I did. Now looking back when we were dating, he was so much fun. We used to do facials together. He was so easy to talk to.”

To clear up the rumors, Knight took to the band’s official website. He said:

“I have never been outed by anyone but myself! I did so almost twenty years ago. I never knew that I would have to do it all over again publicly just because I reunited with NKOTB! I have lived my life very openly and have never hidden the fact that I am gay! Apparently the pre requisite to being a gay public figure is to appear on the cover of a magazine with the caption ‘I am gay’. I apologize for not doing so if this is what was expected! My belief is that you live your life by example, and not by a caption on a magazine! If there ever has been any confusion about my sexuality, then you are someone that doesn’t even know me!

I love living my life being open and honest, but at this time I choose not to discuss my private life any further! My fellow band members don’t discuss their private lives with their loved ones and I don’t feel that just because I am gay, I should have to discuss mine!”

Tiffany later apologized and said she felt horrible about the slip-up, but Knight also defended her in the website posting, saying:

“I’d also appreciate it if the people talking trash about Tiffany and Deborah knock it off and stop being nasty!”

Tiffany got more press for Jonathan than he’s had in years! Congrats!

Mr. Courteney Cox — David Arquette — checked out of rehab Sunday after nearly a month of treatment for alcohol and other issues.

His rep confirms:

“He has competed his treatment and has left,”

Another source who knows David added that the actor is:

“in great spirits. He’s feeling good and he’s ready to move forward.”

That’s great news — we hope David has defeated his inner-struggles and can be a better person for his family and his daughter, Coco.

Eisenberg asked: “You ever end up seeing the film The Social Network?”
Zuckerberg replied: “Yeah, I did.”

The voice of Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi was blast over the airwaves Thursday morning, as the Jersey Shore star — known for her Bump-it hairstyle — appaeared on Sirius radio’s The Morning Mash Up!.

The show caught up with what’s new in Snooki’s life, but most notably, the Jersey girl admitted she regrets hooking up with her roommate Vinny Guadagnino during the taping of the MTV show.

She said:

“I kind of wish me and Vinny didn’t try and have sex, because it was just drama this whole season,”

“And I don’t know, it was just awkward between us and then I felt stupid because, you’ll see, it’s just embarrassing.”

Yep, pretty embarrassing and a bad idea to hook up with someone you have to see everyday anyway — if they’re not your boyfriend.

But boys will be boys, and Snooki says that Vinny probably thinks of it as just another drunk hookup.

“I think he would say that because I kind of got feelings,”

“But for him, he’d be like, ‘No, it’s another girl.’ “

That’s all in the past for Snooki, because she’s happy to hook up with her real-life boyfriend Jionni LaValle, who is headed to being a (camera-shy) teacher. Aw!

In the news today, Mary Kay Letourneau is a grandmother!

Don’t remember her and need a refresher? She’s the lovely teacher who was caught having a sexual relationship with one of her students — Vili Fualaau — in 1997. In the news today…though not so breaking…the world is sad.

Mary Kay had two kids with her child lover, but no — neither of them are the ones who made her a grandmother. It was her son Steve from her first marriage, who welcomed a daughter in December.

I guess that makes 27-year-old Vili a grandfather?

Sigh. At least those crazy kids are doing it right now — they’re married and happy, with two daughters — ages 12 and 13.

Demi Lovato is shining brighter than ever following treatment for her issues.

The 18-year-old checked into rehab for some issues she was battling — mostly anger — after she got into an altercation with backup dancer Alex Welch last year.

A source close to Demi says she’s focused on keeping herself new and improved. The source told PEOPLE:

“She will continue to see doctors in L.A. who will help her work on the issues she confronted in treatment,”

“For now, she is getting back to her regular routine and spending time with her family and close friends. She is so grateful to all of her fans for their support, and looks forward to being able to talk to all of them very soon.”

“Demi will continue to focus first and foremost on her well-being.”

That’s great news! She’s still young enough to tackle inner issues and she did it successfully, so that can never be a bad thing.

Demi herself took to Facebook earlier this month to thank those who stuck by her during these hard times.

She said:

“I want to make sure my fans know how thankful I am for all their love, support and prayers during this difficult time,”

“Thank you for standing beside me through it all.”
