FOX News’ Bill O’Reilly had the opportunity to ask President Barack Obama some questions about problems like health care and the situation in Egypt in a special interview before the 2011 Super Bowl XLV (Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Green Bay Packers), which will be held at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Sunday (February 6)- watch video below.
O’Reilly, who had big expectations this would become the most watched interview in history, asked about Egypt President Hosni Mubarak’s much anticipated departure. Obama said, “Only he knows what he’s going to do… The Egyptian people want freedom, and free and fair elections, Bill.â€
O’Reilly asked Obama the same question he asked his predecessor, George Bush: “Does it disturb you that so many people hate you?†President answered, “The people who dislike you. They don’t know you–they hate whatever fun-house mirror image of you that’s out there.â€
As for the health care issue, “I listen to you,†Obama said, referring to O’Reilly’s TV and radio work, “and what I hear you saying is, ‘Don’t make me pay for [other people's] health care’… People shouldn’t have to go into debt [for their health care].†He said he denied “the notion that that’s a radical opinion.â€
The interview ended with the classic question about who Obama will be rooting for. “Once my Bears lost, I don’t pick sides,†Obama said.
