Singer Christina Aguilera made a fool of herself when she messed up the lyrics of the national anthem, “The Star-Spangled Banner”, at the 2011 Super Bowl XLV (Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Green Bay Packers), which was held at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Sunday (February 6)- watch video below.

The 30 year-old changed the lyrics from “O’er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?” to “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming”, but she did not miss a beat.

Christina’s performance could have been spotless… she just messed with the national anthem lyrics. That’s not a big deal, right? I’m not American and I know the lyrics. Xtina apologized to the fans and hopes they still felt the anthem’s true spirit.
