Security Guard Died In Freak Accident On NCIS Set

A 52 year-old male security guard died after a freak accident involving a production van on the set of CBS’ hit show “NCIS” (NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service) in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday morning (February 9).

The driver (60 years old) apparently lost control of the car and smashed into the set, hitting the unidentified security guard, who was immediately transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the security guard was pronounced dead a few hours after the accident. Authorities are currently investigating the case. R.I.P.

UPDATE: CBS suspended production on the show until further notice. NCIS producers, cast and crew released a joint statement: “With profound sympathy we mourn the tragic passing of our co-worker and friend. NCIS is a family. And, as with any family, we are deeply saddened by this unexpected loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones.”
