Len Lesser, Seinfeld’s Uncle Leo, Dead At 88
Actor Len Lesser, best known for his role as Uncle Leo on Jerry Seinfeld’s “Seinfeld”, has passed away in his sleep of complications from pneumonia at his home in Burbank, California on Wednesday (February 16).
The 88 year-old actor’s daughter, Michele Lesser, released the following statement:
“Heaven got a great comedian and actor today…. Thank you to all the people who helped make my father’s last journey special, and surrounded with love. The doctors, nurses, and staff have been outstanding, and Dad was in phenomenal hands. His passing was peaceful, with great dignity, and surrounded by those who loved him dearly.”
Len made regular appearances on several TV shows like “Garvin”, “Everybody Loves Raymond” and more recently “Castle.” During his successful 60 year career, Len was involved in more 500 films, movies and stage appearances.
Len is survived by his daughter Michele Lesser, son David Lesser and three grandchildren, Jonathan, Kayla and Mayah.
