American Idol season 8 finalist, Scott MacIntyre, who became the first and only blind guy to be high-fived by Ryan Seacrest on Idol, is officially engaged to marry his new girlfriend, Christina Teich later this year.

The 25 year-old singer and Christina made their first public appearance together and shared the good news during the first Idol Prom, which is a re-vamped version of American Idol’s Top 24 party, held at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, California on Thursday (February 17).

Meanwhile, Scott, who finished in eight place a couple of years ago, continues to pursue his dream of becoming an Idol. He released his debut single “Heartstring” last winter and had a holiday hit song called “Christmas Angel”.
