England’s Prince William and his fiancée Kate Middleton sent more than 1,900 invitations for their royal wedding to the most selected families around the world – from kings, Prime Ministers and charity leaders to close family, university friends and old schoolmates.

The precious 10 in. by 6 in. cards were sent in Queen Elizabeth’s name (“The Lord Chamberlain is commanded by The Queen to invite…”) to honorable guests who were invited to attend “the marriage of his Royal Highness Prince William of Wales KG with Miss Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey on Friday 29 April 2011 at 11.00am.”

In the bottom right corner is the dress code – guests are required to wear military uniform, a tailcoat or business suit. YAWN. Anyway, there are other events that will take place that day, including a reception hosted by the Queen in the Abbey (600 guests) and a dinner hosted by the father of the groom, Prince Charles, at the Buckingham Palace (300 guests).
