Oscar host Anne Hathway and actress Gwyneth Paltrow were reportedly paid thousands to wear jewels on the Oscar’s red carpet.

Hathaway, who was seen wearing multiple ensembles throughout the evening, is rumored to have been paid $750,000 to wear Tiffany & Co. all night. After all, these are the Oscars we’re talking about, people!

Paltrow also brought in the bucks; $500,000 of them! Just to wear earrings, a brooch and ring from Louis Vuitton‘s “L’Ame du Voyage” collection.

I suppose that’s how things work in Hollywood; you wear our jewelry, you make us look good. But don’t you think it’s a little much to be paid to wear the jewels? I mean, they’re already wearing them for free. I would think that would be enough.

Naturally, both Hathaway and Paltrow’s, along with Tiffany and Louis Vuitton’s reps say the reports are “incorrect.” What’s a good rep for anyway?
