Elton John will return to the Saturday Night Live stage for the first time since 1982 on April 2. He’ll be hosting the show and providing the musical entertainment, along with Leon Russell.

The news was announced Sunday night at Elton’s annual Oscars viewing party. The party included a live auction to benefit the Elton John Aids Foundation. Among the items auctioned off were a pair of VIP access tickets to Elton’s SNL show and cast after-party, courtesy of Lorne Michaels. The winning bid came in at a whopping $75,000.
