Lindsay Lohan Refuses Plea Deal, Will Go To Trial… and Jail!
Actress Lindsay Lohan was warned by Judge Keith Schwartz that if she accepted a plea deal in the felony grand theft case, she would go straight to jail. To plead guilty or no contest would be seen as an admission she did, in fact, violated her probation.

The judge slammed the actress, telling her bluntly, “I don’t care that you’re Lindsay Lohan.” Judge Schwartz also asked for a psychological evaluation of the defendant to better understand what would be the most appropriate sentence.

Deputy D.A. Danette Meyers, who allegedly wants 6 months of jail time for Lindsay, made a formal offer to settle the case, but the actress’ lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley is not going to accept it.
Lindsay, who won’t accept a plea bargain involving jail time, continues to claim she did not steal the item and is ready to face trial. The 24 year-old continues to desperately try to avoid jail the best she can, while getting herself into trouble more than once per month. Good job, Linds!

However, this time Lindsay is really screwed. If convicted, Lindsay faces up to one year in state prison. BUT, Lindsay still has to face the music in the probation violation case. In the probation hearing, the judge only has to decide it’s “more likely” Lindsay stole the necklace than not and she is sent to jail.

In the best case scenario, Lindsay hopes to be found not guilty at the grand theft trial and prays to get less than six months in jail for the probation violation. That means Lindsay will most probably end up in the slammer AGAIN.
Lindsay returns to court on March 10.
