Comic book writer Dwayne McDuffie, best known for his work for DC and Marvel, reportedly passed away due to complications resulting a from a surgical procedure at an undisclosed location on Monday (February 21). He was 49 years old.

Dwayne wrote several projects for TV and movies, including “All Star Superman”, “Justice League” and “Ben 10: Alien Force”. In 2003, the writer won a Humanitas Prize for an episode of Static Shock in which the superhero finds he cannot protect his loved ones from gun violence.

In 1993, Dwayne became the co-founder of Milestone Media, which was originally created to offer a better representation to minorities in comics. They introduced character like Static, Icon and Xombi.

In the interview, the 26 year-old talks about her issues regarding her incredible boobies while she was in high school, talent, personality and confesses she wants to have a normal life (married with children!) instead of “dying on stage” alone. Here are some highlights:

On her talent: “I think that people now see that I’m more than just a one-trick-pony sexy girl. I have a lot more to bring to the table. I’m trying to give people music that they can hopefully adopt as a soundtrack to their lives—songs that speak to a whole range of emotions.”

On performing: “I think some people will die on the stage, and I’m not so sure I want to do that. Like, I want to have kids! I’m totally fine with saying that. I think some people are scared because they’re worried it’s going to ruin their career, but I want to live a full life.”

On how her career has panned out: “I feel like I’m at a point in my life right now where I could potentially stick around. I don’t feel like a diva, but I think diva is a great and powerful word in the sense of what Beyonce makes it. And maybe I can’t be Beyonce, but maybe I can be Cyndi Lauper. I mean be like her, not be her. That would just be weird.”

On her figure: “I was shaped like a square at one time. I was! I’m generally around 130 pounds, which is totally fine for me. But when I was a kid, I was the same height and weighed more like 145. And I had enormous boobs that I didn’t know what to do with, so I wore minimizers, which were not cute. Those thick-ass straps! I got made fun of for the over-the-shoulder boulder holder…and all I wanted was to look like Kate Moss. Little did I know…that these things would come in handy someday.”

On balancing work and her personal life: “I think you can have it all. You just have to work really hard, because great things don’t come easily. Everyone’s been told that marriage is hard work, and it is: You have to make time for the things you love.”

On her down-to-earth personality: “It’s important to be relatable and normal. And I think that what helps with that, for me, is that I had the rug pulled out from underneath my feet so many times. It was like, ‘Listen up, bitch, you’re not going to get served this on a silver platter—you’ve got to work for it!’ I don’t feel like I can act like an entitled bitch yet! I still have so much to prove.”

Jessica looked straight to Barbara Walters and said, “This wasn’t an affair … I don’t want to be cruel or anything, but … you had an affair with a senator and …” This woman was referring to Barbara and Senator Edward Brooke’s affair, which was admitted by the journalist/TV host in her book “Audition”. Barbara was not happy with the comparison.

Barbara quickly replied, “This is about you, my dear. This is not about me. OK? I’m very happy talk about my relationships, but this is about you.” Barbara put the woman in her place.

Actress Christina Applegate, who became a new mom for the first time less than a month ago, talked for the first time about the incredible and profoundly painful experience of giving birth to her daughter Sadie Grace LeNoble in an interview for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Tuesday (February 22).

The 39 year-old also confessed that during that moment she completely forgot all her insecurities. Christina told Ellen DeGeneres she has some body-image issues after her double mastectomy, which completely disappeared when her daughter arrived. How beautiful… I’m in tears!

Here is what Christina Applegate had to say about giving birth on Ellen:

Ellen: “Was it a hard labor or was it quick? Fast?”
Christina: “It was about 18 hours.”
Ellen: “That’s long.”
Christina: “It is long. I had my plan. Plans are a big joke, you know, [mine] was to have an epidural but I didn’t react to it well.”
Ellen: “What are you talking about?”
Christina: “I didn’t like it. I didn’t like the feeling of numbness. I didn’t like it. It was really creepy to me. It was too much so we turned it off and we opted for go all the way.”
Ellen: “Wow!”
Christina: “Feeling it all.”
Ellen: “How was that?”
Christina: “I like to say that I opted for it but they accidentally turned it off.” (Laughs)
Ellen: “Was it painful?”
Christina: “It was profound. It was profound pain. And then that happens (pointing to photo of daughter). Just that moment, pulling her out and I dropped my gown which I don’t do. This part of my body is very private to me [her chest]…that’s a real private place. A place that I don’t have a good relationship with, let’s say. But at that moment of pulling her out and I just tore that thing [gown] off. There’s a room full of people that I don’t know. Nurses and doctors. And she and I just laid there. It was the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Ellen: “That’s a beautiful moment.”

Finally, Emily brings her 5 year-old daughter Ricki, whose father, race car driver Ricky Hendrick, was killed in a 2004 plane crash, to meet Brad. At first, Ricki was too shy and made it really difficult for Brad to feel comfortable.

Last but definitely not least, I was humbled and honored to get the chance to meet Emily’s daughter, Little Ricki. It took a while to get her to open up to me but once she did, my heart melted by just being around that little girl.

I want to explain why I didn’t kiss Emily while sitting on her couch. It’s no secret that I’m brand new to a lot of this. I’ve never dated a woman with a daughter before so I don’t know proper etiquette in that situation. All I know is this, I wanted to kiss Emily every second I was around her, but my very first concern was showing her daughter respect (as well as Emily). I realize it makes me look like a weird and awkward guy around Emily, but that’s anything but the case. Again, my first concern was her daughter.

Comedienne/TV personality Rosie O’Donnell and her girlfriend, Texas artist Tracy Kachtick-Anders, who has six children of her own, reportedly broke up after dating for more than a year. The two were first seen holding hands while on a date with all their kids (total of 10!) in Miami back in December of 2009.

Rosie and Tracy aren’t currently living together and apparently they never did, according to Rosie’s rep. They live in separated houses with their own children, but they still remain good friends mostly for their kids’ sake.

A rep for O’Donnell told us, “Rosie and Tracy never officially lived under one roof. They have lived near one another for quite some time, and their families still socialize and they see each other frequently.”

But a source said, “They have definitely split up, but it is very complicated because their kids are very close. They still spend a lot of time together.”

Rosie, who has four kids with her ex-wife Kelli Carpenter, confessed that Tracy’s devotion to children was one of the things she loved the most about her. Tracy launched a nonprofit organization called Open Arms Campaign to recruit adoptive families.

A year ago, Rosie said, “Tracy has six kids, she lives next door . . . It’s a lot! We’re the Gay-dy Bunch! It’s a challenge, but when you fall in love with someone, they come with a whole bunch of things, including children.”

Rosie and Tracy might have not worked out as a couple, but we hope they know they have to stick together as friends for their kids, who all seem to have been fairly happy as members of the “Gay-dy Bunch” (as Rosie called them!).

Disgruntled Denver Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony was traded to the New  York Knicks late tonight in a mega-blockbuster trade for a lot of pieces according to Yahoo!’s Marc J. Spears.

The trade also included the Minnesota Timberwolves who received Anthony Randolph and Eddie Curry from the Knicks in exchange for giving the Knicks Corey Brewer and a 2nd round draft pick.

The Nuggets in return for Anthony received PG Raymond Felton, SF Wilson Chandler, SG Danilo Gallinari, and C Timofey Mozgoz.  So a total of six Knicks were traded along with two 1st round draft picks for Carmelo.

The Knicks will also receive Chauncey Billups, Renaldo Balkman, Shelden Williams, and Anthony Carter.

The Nuggets are expected in turn trade Gallinari and Mozgoz to the New Jersey Nets for additional 1st round draft picks.

Many experts believe the move cost the Knicks too much talent and draft picks.  Melo is not known for his defense or rebounding.  He also demands the ball to create his shots much like new Knicks teammate Amar’e Stoudemire does.
