Singer Britney Spears is not currently in the best shape of her life – she is a very busy mother-of-two when she is not struggling with another public controversy or breakdown. The new music video for the single “Hold It Against Me”, which will premiere today, might be the most anticipated of all time, but the 29 year-old might not be the one breaking all the crazy, wild dance moves.

Yep, Britney was rumored to have a dancing double for the most challenging parts of the routine. According to TMZ, director Jonas Akerlund expected a lot more from Britney, who allegedly did not practice enough to nail all the steps in the choreography by Brian Friedman.

Akerlund was “so upset that Britney hadn’t practiced enough, he asked her dance-double – Allison Kyler – to fill in,” a source said. “It got so heated between Britney and the director [that] the singer left the set crying on the second day.”

The rumors were quickly denied by Britney’s rep and the director himself. The rep stated, “the accusations could not be further from the truth. Britney worked extremely hard on this video and rehearsed for six weeks prior to shooting.”

However, Britney does have a dance-double named Allison Kyler (more pictures below) and the mention of her name could mean the dancer did, in fact, participate in the video somehow. In one of the HIAM sneak peeks, Britney is seem fighting herself on the dance floor, so that’s a good reason to get a double.

OR… Britney did need some help with her dance moves. Britney looks absolutely fantastic in the 30-second sneak peek she offered her fans yesterday, but I also noticed that her body did not really seem to “match” the head in that dance sequence when she appears dressed in black with a huge gold necklace (0:19 mark video below). The video is so fast, I could be totally off on this… what do YOU think?

Former Bachelor contestant Melissa Rycroft and her husband Tye Strickland welcomed a healthy baby girl named Ava Grace Strickland at the hospital in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday (February 16). The couple’s first child was not planned, but they were both happy with the prospect of becoming parents.

“Our lives have changed so much in the last two years and today we’ve been blessed with the best change ever, our beautiful baby girl,” Melissa tells OK!. Baby Ava weighed 6lbs., 13 oz..

Melissa, a 27 year-old former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader who also competed on “Dancing With The Stars” and co-hosted “The Bachelor Pad”, and Tye tied the knot in December of 2009 and announced they were expecting last July.

In 2007, before her daughter Kim‘s infamous sex tape with raper R Jay was released, Jenner was shopping around the networks for a new reality show:

“I thought, ‘Oh well, there goes the reality show,’ but you can either be a problem maker or a problem solver. And I’m a problem solver. My job as her mom and manager is to take care of the problem — whatever it is. I had to cry and get upset in the privacy of my own room and then come out and help her, because she’s my daughter. What good is it for me to berate her?…All I knew was that I had to make some lemonade out of these lemons fast. Real fast.”

She added:

“My job was trying to take my kids’ 15 minutes and turn it into 30.”

Jenner went on to explain the family’s approach to their multiple reality shows:

But I said: ‘Leave it alone. Just show it. It’ll be fine.’ I’ve said that every single time. And it’s served me well from a business point of view.”

E! programming executive Lisa Berger almost passed on the first Kardashian reality show, but was convinced otherwise by Ryan Seacrest. She said:

“It has changed the face of E!”

And what’s next for the Kardashians? Kardashian Khaos, a “celebrity destination store” at Las Vegas’ Mirage hotel that will sell every Kardashian-endorsed product available. Kardashian images will also be pictured on hotel keys, bottled water in the rooms and on slot machines.

And Kris isn’t the only one who knows how to bring in the cash; Kim reportedly charges as much as $25,000 to mention a brand in a tweet . It’s also said that most family members have a  ”Twitter clause” in their contracts.

Jenner plans on keeping the Kardashian’s brand going for as long as possible:

“My fantasy is to have Keeping Up With Kardashians, Season 26…Who knew it would be this profitable? I should have had more kids.”

Wow. As dumb as they may seem on television, they must have some brains. It’s truly remarkable that this family has been able to brand themselves so successfully.

A new opera, titled Anna Nicole and based on real-life drama queen Anna Nicole Smith, is set to premiere this Thursday at London’s Royal Opera House. Playing the title role of Anna is Dutch soprano Eva-Maria Westbroek (pictured above).

The musical masterpiece was written by Mark-Anthony Turnage, with the libretto by Richard Thomas, whose previous credits include Jerry Springer: the Opera. Let me say that if this show is anything like Jerry Springer: The Opera, which I adore, we’re in for a treat.

While no reviews have been released yet, the show looks like it’ll be a trip. It features characters such as her deceased son Daniel, her former partner Howard K. Stern (billed as “The Lawyer Stern”), as well as famous TV interviewer Larry King.

The Harpeth Hills Flying Monkey Marathon has been named by Run It Fast as the best marathon in the state of Tennessee.

The organic race is held every November just outside Nashville in the Harpeth Hills and lives up to it’s name with nearly 10,000 feet of ascents and descents as well.

Everything from the swag (wood medal, tech shirts, bibs) to the post-race buffet is extremely well done by race director Trent Rosenbloom.

The race sold out in about 30 minutes this past year. Registration to newcomers usually opens up in August (race website). The 2011 race is scheduled for November 20th at 8am.

Actress Christina Applegate debuts her beautiful baby daughter, Sadie Grace, on the cover of the upcoming issue of People Magazine. The 39 year-old actress, who beat breast cancer after a double mastectomy, and her fiancé Martyn LeNoble, are totally in love with their bundle of joy.

“I felt my heart literally open up for the first time and like wrap itself around her. It was profound,” Christina tells People in this week’s cover story. “And I’m more in love with her every minute of the day.”

“I want to be the ultimate burper and diaper-changer, I want to be the ultimate at all of it,” she says. “Sometimes I stand there going, ‘I’m not doing any of this right!’ And then I get this big man belch out of her and I go, ‘Ah, we accomplished this together.’ “

Christina claims Sadie has completely changed her life. After spending a lot of time talking about what she went through when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, the actress is grateful to be able to give her life got a new meaning.

“I’ve had to talk about that word [cancer] more than I’ve ever had to talk about a word in my life,” she says. “After a while you’re like, ‘There’s got to be something else to me.’ ”

“Yeah, now I’m Mom. She’s healed me in so many ways,” says the actress. “She’s just made my life so much better. She’s opened my whole soul.”

Crazed Alabama fan Harvey Updyke has been arrested for poisoning the historic oak trees on the part of the Auburn University campus called Toomer’s Corner.  He is being held on $50,000 bail.

The suspect allegedly dumped massive amounts of toxic herbicide to the historic oaks in which will likely conclude with the trees dying.

Toomer’s Corner is a place that fans of the Auburn Tigers go to tailgate and celebrate games in which they win by ‘rolling’ (tp-ing) the trees with toilet paper and the like.

Updyke claims on his Facebook page to be a retired Texas State Ranger.  The photo above, from the same Facebook page, shows Updyke wearing an Alabama Crimson Tide baseball style cap. The Crimson Tide are the big rival of  the Auburn Tigers.
