CNN Anderson Cooper was one of the victims of an angry pro-Mubarak mob in Cairo, Egipt earlier today, Wednesday (February 2)- more details HERE. The 43 year-old journalist tried to explain the incident on CNN’s American Morning (watch video below).

“The crowd kept growing and throwing more punches and kicks and trying to grab us,” said Cooper.

“It was pandemonium,” he went on. “There was no control to it. Suddenly, a young man would look at you, and then punch you right in the face. The instinct is to try to punch or push back, but you really can’t in a situation like that. That inflames the crowd even more. All we could do was walk as quickly as possible and stay together and seek a safe location.”

And CNN’s crew found a safe location on the roof of a building near Tahrir Square. Anderson explains the crew was trying to reach a neutral location, where they could do their job, when they were stopped by President Hosni Mubarak’s supporters, who clearly did not want the cameras to capture the moment.

“We were trying to make our way to the no man land,” he said, referring to a neutral location between the opposing groups. “We never made it that far. We were set upon by pro-Muburak supporters punching us in the face.”

He said one attacker “tried to break his [cameraman's] camera… they didn’t want any pictures taken. Frankly, we weren’t even taking pictures with the big camera. I was using a Flip camera, which they didn’t notice.”

“But the big camera – they were trying to grab it. We immediately started to turn around because we realized the situation would get very bad very quickly.”

Anderson Cooper also took to his Twitter to keep his followers and fans updated on Egypt’s situation.

Anderson tweeted, “Got roughed up by thugs in pro-mubarak crowd..punched and kicked repeatedly. Had to escape. Safe now. Its getting really bad in front of egyptian museum.”

“We’re a very sarcastic family,” Mia explains to Life & Style. “He’s the funniest man I know. He’s saving the show because it was kind of boring before. There’s only so many times you can watch Simon be mean to people.”

“It’s so nice to see him up there,” says Mia. “He loves it!”

As for Steven in the role of father at home, Mia confessed, “He’s very much a dad when he’s home. He’s very protective and gets mad at us for not cleaning the catlitter box — typical dad stuff.”

Lucky Mia! Not every girl can say their dad is a major rock star and an American Idol judge. The 62 year-old Aerosmith frontman, who went through a difficult rehabilitation process for heavy drugs and alcohol abuse back in 1986, is a new man after checking into rehab for painkillers addiction back in 2009.

Terrence Howard must really like divorce — his wife Michelle has filed for divorce from the actor as just a year of marriage.

The couple married January 20, 2010 and ended things a year later, on January 27, 2011. Michelle is seeking spousal support and cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for filing the divorce.

Terrence was married twice before, but to the same woman — he and Lori McCommas were together for 14 years and have three kids together. True to character, Terrence was engaged again in 2009 — to Zulay Henao — but things fell through.

Really though, life is too short for marital vows with any longevity! Can I get an amen?

We had problems and now that I look at the show as an audience, of course I feel terrible. My heart goes out to her. I think the way he’s handled things is terrible and I’m a wife and a mom, I’d be devastated. I wouldn’t want to see anyone go through something like that.

Ellen: Yeah, it’s pretty shocking, I would say. I mean, we all think we know someone.

According to a friend of the couple, a daughter and a son is like a dream come true for them. Nick and Mariah are no longer afraid to buy pink and blue items. The proud daddy-to-be was the first to reveal they were expecting twins in December.

“In order for my wife and I to have our life, we need to be up front and I need to be able to share things with you and be real,” Nick Cannon said on his radio show. “I didn’t even tell my wife I was gonna do this. I’m probably gonna get yelled at for not getting permission. We’re having twins!”

The truth is Kim is still fighting her demons – she has been battling substance abuse for years and being on TV is actually making her problems a lot worse. The family is really worried about her. So when Ellen asked if Kim would return to the show, Kyle could not give her a straight answer.

Kim could be leaving the show for good to finally seek the help she desperately needs. The housewife remains silence and “invisible” while she is considering the possibility of not returning for a new season.

Britney Spears announced today that she has named her new album ‘Femme Fatale.’

“I’ve poured my heart and soul into this album over the last 2 years.  I’ve put everything I have into it,” tweeted Britney.

Femme Fatale according to Wikipedia “is a mysterious and seductive woman^[1] whose charms ensnare her lovers in bonds of irresistible desire, often leading them into compromising, dangerous, and deadly situations. She is an archetype or stock character of literature and art. Her ability to entrance and hypnotize her victim was in the earliest stories seen as being literally supernatural, hence the most prosaic femme fatale today is still described as having a power akin to an enchantress, vampire, female monster or demon.”

The album will be released in March. It will be Brit’s 7th studio album.

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper was attacked by a mob of President Hosni Mubarak’s supporters in Cairo, Egypt earlier today, Wednesday (February 2). According to CNN producer Steve Brusk, Anderson was “punched 10 times in the head as pro-Mubarak mob surrounded him and his crew trying to cover demonstration.”

The 43 year-old journalist still had the time to cover all the events for CNN’s live blog, describing the attack and their escape to a roof of a nearby building. Anderson claims the mob pushed, shoved and punched the CNN crew in the head, but, fortunately, no one was seriously hurt.

In Egypt, the situation is starting to get out of control as violent confronts between protesters against President Hosni Mubarak, who has been in power for more than 30 years, and pro-Mubarak supporters.
