Former American Idol judge Paula Abdul made a frantic and tearful emergency call to 911 because her “boyfriend” was allegedly not letting her get out of the car during a hot date in Santa Barbara at around 4:35 pm on Valentine’s Day (February 14).

In the 911 call, Paula is heard crying and sobbing while screaming, “Drop me off! I wanna go, and he won’t let me! You gonna drop me off ’cause I have emergency on the phone.” After a few moments, Paul says, “He’s dropping me off.” (Listen to 911 call HERE)

Police officers went to her home to make sure she was safe. Paula explained that it had been just a verbal argument and decided not to file a police report. In an official statement, her rep said, “Arguments with loved ones are often times heated. After the call was made everything was worked out.”

We wonder who is this mysterious boyfriend and what were they arguing about? However, we totally respect Paula and her privacy. Sure she doesn’t want to do her dirty laundry in the media.
