Subway Now Has More Chains than McDonald’s

Subway is now the largest fast food chain in the world with 33,749 locations worldwide.

McDonald’s had been the largest fast food chain for many years. McDonald’s currently has 32,737 locations.

Subway was founded in 1965 and went international in 1984.  The chain generated over $15 billion dollars of revenue last year. That is a lot of $5 footlongs.
