Bachelor contestant Chantal O’Brien went through a series of torturous group, hometown and overnight dates to end up being dumped by Brad Womack, who seemed to have made up his mind a long time before he went down on one knee to propose to Emily Maynard (pictures/videos here).

The 28 year-old executive assistant from Seattle was absolutely heartbroken. In the final date, Chantal basically declared her love for Brad and told him she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him after meeting his family, including his hot twin brother Chad Womack.

Chantal said, “I’m doing a lot better! What you saw on the finale, I had just gotten my heart broken. There I was thinking this is someone I could have a future with and they didn’t want to be with me. It broke my heart. But in the time since then I’ve had time to heal and move forward.”

So, when did Chantal realize Brad was not going to propose? Chantal is a very smart girl. She said, “I felt pretty confident, but when I was in the limo [driving up to the proposal site], I thought ‘it’s too early for a proposal — they usually do this at sunset.’”

Bingo! Chantal was not the chosen one. However, the bachelor contestant admitted she is in a really good place right now and happily dating a guy named Jeff Razore. Chantal’s heart has healed and she might have already found the one. Go Chantal!
