American Idol season 10 contestant, James Durbin, a daddy who suffers from Asperger’s and Tourette’s, has been widely compared to and described as a new version of the infamous season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert.

Adam and James have power voices and presences on stage. They sound and look so much alike. James actually admires Adam, but he does not want to be compared to the Idol alum because he wants to be able to have his own style, personality and vibe as an artist.

James said, “I’m kind of tired of answering that question. We’re completely different people stylistically, tone-wise. The only similarity that we have is the high note. … He put his foot in the door; I want to try and put my foot straight through the door. He did some rock, I liked it. I want to do some metal like Iron Maiden, ACDC, Ozzy, Sabbath.”

Adam and James finally had the chance to meet and hit it off during the last American Idol live results show last week. They even posed for a picture together and Adam is a confessed fan of James. OH. Idol LOVE! Love them both!
