The royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, which will take place on April 29, will be made available for the public to download on iTunes within hours of the actual ceremony. This will be the fastest album release ever to to be handled by Universal Music.

The couple’s vows and entire service will be released on CD, cassette tape and vinyl on May 5th. The official album will also include “a booklet with the order of service, the readings, vows, hymns and blessings of the ceremony, as well as the music.”

THR reported:

“The recording could go to the top of the album charts, raising millions for charitable causes. Musicians expected to perform include the choir of Westminster chapel, the London Chamber Orchestra and the Royal Air Force choir.”
