American Idol Season 10 contestant Casey Abrams reportedly began hyperventilating and fell backstage after being the person with the lowest votes and being saved by the judges during the shocking live results show on Thursday (March 24).

Casey was shocked the judges chose to save him so early in the competition. He said, “I feel really bad that other [contestants] might have to go home now because they [the judges] used the save on me.”

The contestant apparently simply needed some time to calm down. That same day in the morning, Casey got a blood transfusion because of health problems related to his stomach condition (ulcerative colitis).
