Singer Jewel, who recently announced she is pregnant with hubby Ty Murray’s baby, was involved in a two-car collision in Stephenville, Texas on Friday morning (March 11)- see picture below.

Jewel was happily driving her car when a volunteer fire truck smashed into her passenger side at around 11 am CT. The 36 year-old was immediately taken to the hospital, where she was subjected to several medical tests.

Fortunately, Jewel and her unborn baby are doing fine. A rep for the singer said in a statement: “The singer was taken to the hospital and current medical tests conducted indicate that she and the baby are doing fine.”

During the American Idol live results show on Thursday (March 10), Ryan Seacrest announced that finalist Casey Abrams couldn’t make it because he had been hospitalized for the second time in three weeks with severe stomach pains.

Ryan said, “You’ll notice that Casey is missing from the group. He is unfortunately sick and in the hospital right now. So everybody wave to him. Feel better … Get back here soon.”

The truth is Casey is dealing with a major health crisis. The 20 year-old, who is an early favorite of Idol’s judges and fans, suffers from ulcerative colitis, which causes abdominal pain and cramping. Casey has already reportedly received two blood transfusions.

Casey took to his Twitter to update his followers and friends on his condition and thank everybody who put him in the Top 12. He also received an unexpected message of support from Idol season 9 runner-up, Crystal Bowerson, who also almost quit Idol because of complications from diabetes.

Crystal tweeted to Casey, “stay in this game, Casey. Don’t be afraid to say no sometimes. I’m rooting for you.” He replied, “it means a lot coming from you. My health is always first, but this is my dream, I’m going to keep fighting to stay in.”

We love Casey. I seriously want to give him the American Idol title already, but I do not want to miss the opportunity of watching him perform on upcoming weeks. So, get well soon! Casey rocks!!

Two hotties are back on the market! Singer/actor Justin Timberlake and his girlfriend, actress Jessica Biel, confirmed they have decided to put an end to their relationship after months of speculation.

The decision to break up was totally mutual and there are no hard feelings, so Justin and Jessica will continue to be good friends. The couple’s reps have confirmed the news in a joint statement:

“Addressing the media speculation regarding Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake’s relationship, we are confirming that they mutually have decided to part ways. The two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other.”

Jessica and Justin starting dating in 2007 and during these almost four years together the couple was bombarded with rumors of pregnancies, break ups, cheating and affairs. Justin was rumored to have a secret relationship with Olivia Munn and an affair with his “Friends With Benefits” co-star, Mila Kunis.

The Twilight stars were on the city of Tofino and they were never in any danger. The evacuation was simply for safety measures as the Tsunami might potentially hit the West Coast from California to Alaska.

Actress Tinsel Korey, who plays Makah Emily Young in the Twilight Saga, took to her Twitter to dramatize the non-dangerous situation they were in. Seriously. The best thing to do is to remain calm and make sure you and yours are safe without scaring people who love you.

She tweeted, “They’re evacuating us 4 a tsumnani warning. If this this is my last my tweet. I love you. The end. Hugz. If this is the moment. Then I’ve lived a good life. Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel was forced to evacuate a French Polynesia small island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean due to a massive Tsunami wave created by the 8.9 earthquake in Japan.

Jimmy was apparently relaxing in the small island when the earthquake happened. He initially joked about the situation on Twitter. He wrote, “Suddenly, relaxing on an island in the South Pacific isn’t so relaxing anymore. Good thing I brought my aqua stilts.”

Of course, Jimmy was bombarded with messages from shocked Twitter users all over the world. Jimmy tried to explain he was right in the middle of the whole ordeal. He said, “I am on an island in French Polynesia, glued to CNN. thanks again for the concern – I am now worried others will worry if I don’t tweet – but if I don’t, don’t.”

When asked on a scale of 1 to 10 how scared he was, Jimmy replied, “A good solid 7. on a small island, with no high ground.” Oh no! Finally, the talk show host announced they were being evacuated from the island. “We are evacuating the island. dogspeed.”

A major earthquake struck Japan early Friday morning with it’s magnitude ranging from 7.9 to 8.9 on the Richter scale.  A tsunami warning has been issued, and there has already been some reports of a 13-foot tsunami coming ashore.

The earthquake originated at sea but could be felt as far inland as Tokyo.

Above you can see some of the damage from this massive earthquake. The tsunami waves have followed with hard hits as the damage continues to mount in Japan. Some waves as high as 33-feet have been recorded.

The quake is the 7th largest recorded earthquake ever.
