Who Will Be Voted Off Tonight? The American Idol season 10 Top 13 picked songs from their favorite Idol to perform on stage for America’s vote on Wednesday (March 9). The real competition has just begun – one Idol hopeful will be eliminated each week until the next American Idol is found.

2011 American Idol Season 10 Top 13 Finalists Revealed!

The Top 13 will take over the stage to perform together for the first time a song from the King Of Pop, Michael Jackson. In  the end of the live results show on Thursday (March 10), one contestant will be forced to leave the competition.

Who will be eliminated on the first results show? I’ll put my money on Karen Rodriguez since her rendition of Selena’s “I Could Fall In Love” was absolutely disastrous. Ashthon Jones is also in dangerous. One of the girls will get the boot. And I believe the guys are all safe. Strong group of guys we have this year.

UPDATE: HERE we go!! Oh no!! Casey Abrams couldn’t make it to because he is in the hospital! OH. NO. Please Casey, get well soon! Twelve of the Top 13 contestants perform a Michael Jackson medley.

UPDATE 2: The Top 13 is living in a mansion in Beverly Hills and going to movie premieres (“Red Riding Hood”). HERE are the results. Jacob Lusk and Stefano Langone are SAFE. Karen Rodriguez is in the bottom three.

UPDATE 3: Adam Lambert performs “Aftermath” on the Idol stage! Lauren Alaina vs. Ashthon Jones vs. Haley Reinhart. Lauren is safe. Ashton and Haley in the bottom 3. Diddy and Dirty Money to take over the stage.

UPDATE 4: Bottom 3: Karen Rodriguez vs. Ashthon Jones vs. Haley Reinhart. WTH!! Karen is safe. Geez. Haley is safe. Ashthon is OUT. Ashthon sings for her life and the judges “safe”, which they can only use once. No luck.

The judges all agreed it was a little pitchy all over. Steven Tyler thanked Naima for bringing some flavor to the stage. Jennifer Lopez told her to be more in control and learn how to breathe, but recognized she’s got fire and owned the stage like a big star.

Wow. I’m impressed not by Naima’s vocal performance, but by her creativity and ability to surprise us. She sang, she danced and even rapped. And it wasn’t that bad… it was actually quite entertaining.

Randy Jackson begged Scotty to not change his country style and stay true to himself. Scotty seems to be pretty comfortable by knowing the type of artist he is and wants to be. Jennifer Lopez thought Scotty finally interacted with the audience and he is growing as an artist right in front of their eyes.

What can I say? I LOVED it. Scotty’s voice is so incredible. A girl just melts hearing him talking… now singing… WOW… Beautiful. Does Scotty has what it takes to be the next Idol? He will have to fight for it.

Totally disappointing. Jennifer Lopez finally admitted a performance was not that good (not good at all), saying Karen seemed to be a little uncomfortable with the notes. Steven Tyler said it was lacking something (can Steven ever be brutally honest?). Randy Jackson hated it, claiming Karen was fighting the song.

YAWN. DOUBLE YAWN. What the heck was Karen thinking? OK. Karen loves JLo and Selena, but this is a competition. She needs to pick songs that are right for her. Last night, she missed all the high notes and it was a tragedy. Karen might be going home tonight!

Randy Jackson loved the beginning and compared Thia to Adelle, but he did not like the jazzy part of the performance. Steven Tyler agreed. Jennifer Lopez didn’t seem to be very pleased, which doesn’t matter because Thia sings like an angel, she said.

The most embarrassing part was the fact Thia didn’t know who Charlie Chaplin was. Charlie Chaplin wrote this beautiful song. I think Thia still cannot connect to the songs and the lyrics probably because she is not mature enough to understand the meaning of those words.

Steven Tyler could not even judge Jacob because it was pure passion, pure music and he is so good. Randy Jackson is happy they were able to find some real talent this year. Dawg claimed Jacob already has a signature sound, saying “You’re unbelievable!”

I’d love Jacob to stop screaming his way throughout the songs… that’s his style, I know. I’d just ask him to try to build it up instead. However, we cannot roast him for too much intensity and passion. Jacob is a very intense performer.

Steven Tyler said it was beautiful and claimed America was roaring with her performance. Jennifer Lopez appreciates all the different things Haley can do with her voice. Randy Jackson claimed it was all very “sleepy and boring”.

OUCH. Haley, Haley, Haley! I think she is trying way too hard to be Idol’s sex symbol or something. The same trick over and over again will eventually throw Haley out of the competition. Don’t be afraid to take chances! Do something different!

Randy Jackson confessed he is a fan of James, who he thinks can sing anything and do it well. Steven Tyler thought James took everything he’s ever felt and kicked it into next week. LOL. Jennifer Lopez praise his melodic quality, saying “You’re everything!”

James nailed it! For once, James didn’t overperform it and it was incredible. James seems to be learning that screams aren’t exactly required to deliver an emotionally intense performance.
