Someone must really love LiLo! Actress Lindsay Lohan, who is ready to go to trial for felony grand theft charges, has been offered the role of Sharon Tate, a pin-up actress who was brutally killed in her home by followers of Charles Manson back in 1969, in a new movie titled “Eyes Of a Dreamer”.

The movie produced by Brad Wyman, best known for his work in Charlize Theron’s “Monster”, and directed by famed photographer Tyler Shields, will tell the story of murderer Charles Manson and how he conspired to commit the murders of a pregnant Sharon Tate, who was married to director Roman Polanski at the time, and Leno and his wife Rosemary LaBianca.

“We’ve worked together many, many times,” Shields tells EW. “She asked me about [Eyes] … And I said, ‘Oh you should be Sharon Tate.’ And she was like, ‘That would be amazing.’”

“Sharon Tate was a movie star,” he says. “So I want [an actress who] you already have a backstory with. People have a backstory with someone like Lindsay. And I think it’s very relatable.”

Tyler Shields wants to play the role of Charles Manson himself and admitted the movie is just a dream for now, but he plans to go all the way with the horrific images of the brutal murders.

“I’m just going to be directing people to do the craziest s— they’ve ever done,” he says. “[But] I’m going to find a way to do it where it doesn’t turn people off, but it gives you the feeling of it. I want this to really hit people in a really specific place.”

“Eyes Of a Dreamer” is expected to begin filming July 15, but what will happen if Lindsay isn’t available… just in case she actually goes to jail! “I don’t know,” Tyler says. “We have to shoot the movie this year, so I don’t know. We’ll have to cross that bridge when we come to it. Hopefully that’s not the case.”
