Who Will Be Voted Off Tonight? The American Idol season 10 Top 8 will be reduced to a Top 7 as another contestant will be forced to leave the competition tonight (Thursday, April 14), after a lukewarm night dedicated to the songs of the movies on Wednesday (April 13).

Last week, Pia Toscano was unexpectedly eliminated after landing in the bottom three with Jacob Lusk and Stefano Langone. Pia’s elimination caused quite a commotion on Idol. The judges were angry at American people, but the global shock was mostly a result of their empty critiques.

• Jacob Lusk – “Bridge Over Troubled Water”
• James Durbin – “Heavy Metal”

Who will be eliminated? Every week, it’s going to get tougher. The competition is on. There are lots of talented people on the show, but no one really had a BIG wow moment. Who will be in the bottom 3 tonight? Tough question. Stefano Langone’s performance was most probably not enough to escape the bottom.

And Jacob Lusk and Paul McDonald, who was the first to perform and didn’t really impress, will most likely join Stefano. Who will get the boot? It’s difficult to say. And there’s always the possibility of another shocker. I think Jacob Lusk deserves to go, but Stefano is probably the one to say goodbye to the competition tonight.

UPDATE: Here we go!! Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina perform a country duet (“American Honey”). Ford commercial inspired by the Walking Dead. OH Idol couple, Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams, perform a jazzy duet (“Moaning”). The judges loved it!!

UPDATE 2: Dim the lights. The country couple and jazzy couple are called to the stage. Scotty is SAFE. Lauren is safe too. No surprise there. Haley Reinhart is in the bottom 3 (THANKS to the judges!) and Casey is SAFE.
