The role of Nathan Harper is Taylor’s big break as a solo leading man. Taylor was definitely born to do this. Nathan is a normal teen boy who discovers his parents aren’t his real parents after his good friend, Karen Lowell (Collins), discovers his picture on a missing persons’ website.

Karen joins Nathan on an adventure as he tries to discover his true identity, which prompts the irresistible comparison to Matt Damon’s “The Bourne Identity”. “Abduction” director John Singleton recently said Taylor is absolutely incredible in this movie.

“I think when people see this film [Abduction] they’ll see a more mature Taylor,” Singleton said. “He’s doing this [thing] he’s never done before. He’s funny and charismatic. He has room to breathe that he’s never had before.”

“Abduction” hits theaters on September 23, 2011.
