YouTube teen sensation Rebecca Black, whose viral hit “Friday” has already been viewed more than 110 million times, is currently under police protection because of two scary death threats, which came over the phone and e-mail.

The 13 year-old has been highly criticized and her song was called the worst song of all time. However, Rebecca managed to get support from Ryan Seacrest and Lady GaGa, who called her a genius.

In an interview for Good Morning America last month, Rebecca said she was a victim of cyber-bulling (more details/video here). So, the Anaheim Police is taking the death threats seriously and keeping an eye on the teen while investigating the case.

Anaheim Police spokesman Rick Martinez says: “One of the threats came over the phone and another emailed.”

He adds: “The threats were related to getting the music off the Internet or they would kill her. We are taking the threats very seriously. Officers are keeping a watchful eye on her during this on-going investigation.”

Rebecca is just a girl trying to have some fun. She knows she is not the best singer in the world, but let’s try to not ruin this girl’s life. If you don’t like Black’s “Friday”, then ignore it. Do not attack a young girl over this silly song. It’s not worth it!
