Scotty McCreery “Swingin’” American Idol Top 7 (VIDEO)
Our country boy, Scotty McCreery, wanted to do something a bit difference when he performed LeAnn Rimes’ “Swingin’” (1983/2010) at the American Idol season 10 Top 7 live show dedicated to songs from the 21st century on Wednesday (April 20)- watch video below.

Steven Tyler loved it and we would love if Scotty’s boot scooted a little more. LOL. Jennifer Lopez appreciated Scotty’s story telling quality, but said they expect more from him at this point in the competition. Randy Jackson didn’t like his song choice and said it was a bit boring.
Finally, the judges star giving the contestants some sort of criticism. Scotty is fantastic. I love his voice, but this performance was one of his worse. He needs to get out of his safety box and wow us. This was truly boring. Not to mention the song is not even from the 21st century. “Swingin’” was written and recorded by John Anderson in 1983. BOO!
